The main purpose of the study is to improve the business employee performance by implementing the equality and diversity business environment.Besides, italso helpsto examinethe businessworkplaceenvironmentand understand the employee needs and wants. (Barak, Findler and Wind, 2016). On the same side, tomaintainedthatpacecompanyrecruitedadiverseworkforceemployeeswithinthe organization. Present research will be base on topic strategic initiatives which has been taken for Equality and diversity in the workplace. Research will be taking Pret a Mange which is an international sandwich shop chain based in UK. It has 450 shops around in 9 countries. The main purpose of this research is ti identify the strategies and initiatives taken by the companies to build a diverse work place environment. For that, study outline the aims and objectives and project management plan according to which study will be conducting the small-scale research along with defining the explaining the research methodology approaches. Therefore in order to to conduct primary research study researcher will further conduct a survey and concluding the findings of the research. Equality and diversity in the workplace is the most common concern within the organization. It defines the promoting equality of opportunities for all without any discrimination process. Also it is required for the organization to sustained and followed the Equality act 2010. Indirectly it relates with employee diversity. In other words,Diversity is important strategies for the workplace environment which is also a difficult task for the management too (Ben-Amar, ChangandMcIlkenny,2017). Tobuildaninclusiveworkplaceenvironment,Companies developsdistinct diversity programs which perceived to be the right thing to do without reflecting a true commitment to creatinga work environment that fosters the best workplace. The intent of the study is to identify the strategies companies adopted for their diverse workplace environment. So overall, the main purpose of the study is to determine the strategies or practices 1
that company implies into the business to eliminate discrimination within the environment of business (Benschop and et.al., 2015). Company Overview Pret A Mange is an international sandwich chain across the 9 countries. Founder ofPret A Mangehas basedin Hampstead, London in 1984. the concept of this business is very diverse and unique as the chain ofPret A Mangeis based on handmade products like natural food. Pret A Mangeusing organic ingredients and promote its sandwiches are made on the day of purchases in a kitchen at each location. Objectives To identify the strategies ofGenderEquality and diversity in the workplace. To examine the impact ofGenderEquality and diversity in the workplaceon employee performance. To determine the challenges and issues management faced while implementingEquality and diversity initiatives in the workplace. To examine the Inclusive and diverse business learning within the workplace. Scope :Scope is the term which relate with the importance. Like the scope of the present research is to examine the importance of Equality and diversity in the workplace environment within the organization and how it impact on the employee performance. This study can help to influence business environment and make employees more productive in working with different thoughts (Cloutier and et.al., 2015). Also it plays a important role because in modern workplace environment for a new change a creative thought is very necessary which comes from diverse learning. Scope also define a SMART objective which clears the aim of the study. Without a specific scope study has not been completed. Resources :Resources is the another significant component of the study which helps in theprocessofstudy.LikeResearchrequirementslikeHumanresource,Training& Development, Technical resources, Equipment etc. resources support the whole study and assist to accomplish the aim of the study. Communication :Project Management plan is not been completed without a proper communication channels (Cook and Glass, 2016).Poor communication can makes the research 2
worse and often the lack of communication is the only reason an issue arises. Communication channel is required to communicate with the project stakeholders. Effective communication solves the issues that arises that concerns their interest in the project. Avoiding it will only create an environment whereby issues will arise much quicker in the future. Such kinds of opportunity will easily helps to define the best development areas. Communication is also very necessary to create new thoughts and ideas. Risk :Risk effective management and makes the study more effective learning objectives and also makes the things more clearly defined and emerging business objectives. Risk can be happened anytime and anyways which is not predictable and efficient. Cost/Budget:Financialresourceisthecrucialaspectoftheresearch.Without investment the project is not been started (Davis, Frolova and Callahan, 2016). Nature of a project requires that a well defined budget actively managed all things in systematic process. Likepresent research consists cost of human resource, purchase equipment, monitoring and controlling.Forallsuchactivitiesinvestmentismustrequired.Presentprojectwillbe approximately taking 450 pound Quality :Quality is the term which defines how and when the things happened. Such process maintained the systematic procedure and quality of work (Guillaume and et.al., 2017). Like before starting anything project manager conduct planning of all the other processes. Quality maintains when the project deliverable the exact amount of inputs. Project should have maintained the some standards quality measures to conduct the study.Like to gathered information for the study aims so the information or data must be according and effective as per the objective. This business case helps to determine the business case which makes the things more grateful. Time :Every project has specific starting and ending date. Project time defined the endingandbeginningprocesswhichoftenexternalstakeholderswhichinvolveinthe determination of the deadlines dates (Huffman, King and Reichelt, 2017).Like preset research will be finish of in between 11 to 12 months. Work Break down Structure Work breakdown structure is the process or tool that helps in making the project management or research tools effectively managed (Klarsfeld and et.al., 2016).
