INTRODUCTION
Efficient workforce enables an organisation to take competitive advantage over other as with
the help of this they can identify various innovative ideas to satisfy the customers. The
incorporation of the concept of inclusive and diverse workforce enables the organisation in
making their employees feel motivated by valuing their abilities and contribution. Also this
leads to better and comfortable workplace environment in which all the employees can
communicate with each other and can share their ideas, opinions that can facilitate them to adopt
innovation and to improve eth satisfaction of the customers. With the help of this research Hyatt
Regency can efficiently build such a workforce. In this report, the data is collection from
different sources and analysed so that necessary recommendations can be made to the hotel
managers by the researcher.
TASK 1
P1) Aims and objectives of the project
Research Aim: The aim of the research is to identify the strategies and initiatives that can be
incorporated by the organisations for building a diverse and inclusive workforce. A case study on
Hyatt Regency.
Research objective: The objectives of the research are given below:
To understand the framework related to the diverse and inclusive workforce.
To analyse the impact of strategies and initiatives for building an inclusive and diverse
workforce on the employees of Hyatt.
To determine various strategies that can be adopted by Hyatt for developing a diverse and
inclusive workforce.
Research Questions:
What does the concept of diverse and inclusive workforce means to the employees?
What can be the impact of various such strategies on the employees?
Which strategies can be adopted by the Hyatt to build an inclusive and diverse
workforce?
LITERATURE REVIEW

Framework related to the diverse and inclusive workforce
As per the view of Sharon Florentine, strong diversity and inclusive workforce facilitates an
organisation in attracting better talent and to retain the existing employees in the organisation.
Such new talent enables the organisation to innovate their services as they provide various ideas
as per their abilities and competence. The companies provide various opportunities to their
employees so that their values can be improved and an inclusive workforce can be developed.
This facilitates them to outperform in their roles as all the employees could understand each
other as they will have better understanding among all because of various inclusive strategies.
Impact of strategies and initiatives for building an inclusive and diverse workforce
According to Anthony Paradiso, inclusion is considered to be the ideology of the people
within the workplace and this is one of the biggest challenges which are being faced by the
organisation while implementing such concept. It can efficiently be done by the leaders by
educating their employees and by developing effective communication. This will facilitate them
to manage the adverse impact which can be the resistance by the employees against the
implementation of the strategies and this can be because of various cultural and ethical
differences. Apart from this the differences among the employees perception due to generation
gap can affect the company and its goals achievement.
Strategies that can be adopted for developing a diverse and inclusive workforce
As per the view of Tom Wells, the employees can be made believe that they are treated
equal in spite of the fact that they belong to different culture, religion etc. with the help of such
inclusive and diverse strategies. Various strategies are formulated by the human resources
department of the organisation such as inclusive language, leadership sessions, training and
development and many more which can make them feel to what extent the organisation value
them. It will improve the overall workplace culture and environment so that the employees can
outperform and the organisation can achieve their ultimate goals and objectives by taking
competitive advantage over others.
P2) Project management plan
A project management plan is a formal document with the help of which the researcher
executes, monitor and control their activities. With the help of this the researcher defines various
components such as:

Scope: The scope of this project for the organisation is that it enables them to formulate
various strategies and initiative that can help them in developing an inclusive and diverse
workforce. With the help of this, the managers of Hyatt can improve the performance of
their employees, and determination of such strategies facilitates the human resource
manager to efficiently manage the staff of the hotel. This research will help
the investigator in undertaking future research efficiently (Noble and Smith, 2015).
Communication: The researcher needs to communicate with the project manager of
Hyatt Regency through different means such as emails, video conferencing, phone calls,
and many more. The method that will be used for communicating with the respondents
will be in written form through questionnaire. This will facilitate the project manager to
track the progress of the research project at the end of every week and also it will ensure
that all the activities are conducted with authenticity.
Resources: The resources required by the investigator for undertaking this research
include permissions to visit hotel, purchasing of laptops, mobile phones, books, and
journal etc. Investigator also has to hire students who can assist him in undertaking this
research project (Pieterse, 2019).
Quality: For maintaining the quality of research outcomes the researcher will gather all
the data from various reliable and authentic sources as this will ensure that the
recommendation so made to the company is reliable. To maintain the quality of the
research various technique such as quality control chart will be used by them this will
enable them to determine whether specifications to the project met or not.
Cost: The total cost for undertaking the research to the investigator includes the
procurement of various resources and the fee of the investigator. For this, they will
formulate a budget with the help of which they can allocate the available funds among
different activities. The cost which is to be borne by the investigator for the research is

Time: Every project has to be completed within a given time limit and for undertaking
this project the researcher will take 10 weeks. The investigator will allocate time limits to
different activities so that this can be completed within the given time limit as to ensure
the completion of the project on time (Roulstone and Williams, 2014).
Risk: The risk which is associated with the project is related to the information and data
gathered by the investigator as it has direct impact on the research outcome. Apart from
this, the researcher may face technical risk in context to the methods of analysing the data
and the responses of the respondents.
P3) Develop a Gantt chart and Work Breakdown structure
Gantt chart: It is the chart that characterizes the diverse time that could be allotted to
every single movement that has been performed to accomplish the targets in auspicious way. It
includes the contribution as well that must be applied by each individual to achieve desired target
of project.. It could be utilized by the investigator to know the viability of the research project
and by this they become acquainted with the specific timeframe to each undertaking likewise
with the assigned time span. It is particularly significant as give the sufficient data about the
research project that gives more valid outcome at the end of research (Sharma and Mukherji,
2016).
