INTRODUCTION
Management of a business company and making it a successful organization require a high
level of skills and understanding about their dynamic nature and necessity of business
environment. In current business environment due to globalisation and high integration among
various economies and culture, the issues associated with discrimination and cultures barriers are
faced by many organizations thus, management of equality and diversity is becoming a necessity
(Abdullah and Foo, 2019). Many laws like Equality act 2010 are also formed to keep a check and
control on all kinds of biasness and discrimination exists within the business premises and
organization.
This project is basically developed and designed on the ThirdWay organisation which is a
London based medium sized commercial Real Estate company having its headquarter in London,
England having specialisation in creating an exceptional and award-winning spaces throughout
many locations of UK. The main focus of this project is on setting aims and objective together
with an appropriate project management plan. Beside this a small scale research together with
various timers frames and stage of completion is there. Further effective presentation of data and
recommendations based on findings are also consists in this project.
Project definition
The main purpose of a project management plan is to facilitate an authority to make use of
organisational resources by the manger and researcher with the aim of completing and achieving
project objectives on time (Basu, 2017). Thus, a project management plan demonstrate and lead
to effective direction and guidance for project team and help in identifying and meeting the
needs and expectation of all associated party including the customers and other stakeholders of
an organisation and facilities effective management of all activities of project from the starting
till to the effective completion of project.
The organisation selected for this project is ThirdWay Company which mainly deals in real
estate investment, architecture, technology, workplace consultancy, furniture and design-and-
build practices across the UK. Thus, a powerful mix of creative and innovative employees are

required that are full of knowledge and insatiable curiosity for having a continuous improvement
in the organisation. Therefore the main ain of this research conducted on ThirdWay Company is,

Problem statement
The goal of this project is conduct an effective research which includes collection of
authentic data in the provided time. But, there are many issues and problem associated with this
goal and effective completion of project that includes lack of sufficient resources and assets that
will lead to delays and consequences in completion of work (Bell and Harrison, 2018). Thus,
time restriction and insufficient resources are two biggest problems that is hindering and creating
obstacles in this research.
Project strategy
Various strategies and plans are formulated to ensure that resources are used in best
possible way in an efficient manner with minimum amount of wastage. Effective planning and
strategy formulation also lead to timely completion of task and ensures that right task is finished
at right time without any overlapping and duplication of work (Bryson, 2017). For this specific
research the project strategy includes preparation of Gantt chart and WBS structure to meet the
provided timeframes together with a conduction of a small scale research through survey method
that includes use of a questionnaire to collect primary information from the respondents and
other stakeholders of organization to formulate effective decision and recommendations on the
basis of research findings and collected data.

The objectives set for this research conducted on ThirdWay Company are as follows:

with use of resources in most efficient way.

and data collected is reliable showing the true facts and information. It has been also assumed

For success of any project or research it is necessary to effectively execute and implement
the planning. Proper planning is necessary for any project as it lead the foundation for

The aim and objective of the project are clearly defined and communicated to all team
members by using communication toll like email.
The work is properly divided into small task and clearly assign to various team to reduce
the chances of confusion and chaos.

information that can be used by a researcher to support arguments of its findings. Secondary data
can be collected from literature, books, journal, past articles, records and also through online
website (Sanghera, 2019).
For collection of data for this research use of a questionnaire is made that is having 6
Quantitative close ended questions and 4 open ended qualitative questions to get and gatherer the
opinion of respondents. Use of random sampling method is made to solve the issue of biasness
in research and selection of a pre resolute number of units is made from a large population to
conduct this research in an efficient and effective way. Selection of 30 respondents are made
from stakeholders of ThirdWay company which includes its directors, mangers, employees,
clients, suppliers, customers and other related party. Following questionnaire is provided to these
individuals to have their opinion on the topic “Equality and diversity together with the provisions
of Equality act 2010.”

participative leadership style together with formation of inclusive council are effective way to
lead fairness and equality in the organisation.
Recommendations
With respect to above findings and information following suggestion and
recommendations could be made for ThirdWay Company to comply with provisions of equality
act 2010 and lead to effective management and maintenance of equality and diversity at its
workplace:
Use of a participative and unbiased leadership style like democratic leadership styles is
recommended on the basis of above summary of research findings with provide a better
interface and interaction among leaders and employees and also facilitates team bonding
in workforce thus, cut down the chances of discrimination and other form of harassment.
Use of democratic leadership style facilitates better communication channel at the
workplaces and yield equal opportunity to all employees in decision making and other
process thus, lead to more fair and motivated atmosphere at workplace, therefore provide
an effective way for management of equality and diversity at workplace.
Along with this, constitution of inclusive council and committee is also suggested for
ThirdWay Company as this strategy is supported by many individuals during the research
it provides a group of individuals that guide and support leaders and other employees to
create a diversified and inclusive workforce. These council and committee play a crucial
role in effectively implementing diversity policies and strategy and also responsible for
advising leadership of company with respect to diversity and inclusion needs thus,
facilitates diversity initiatives throughout the organization.

An unbiased HR practises are also supported by research findings thus, recommended for
ThirdWay company as it plays an effective role in reducing the discrimination of gender
pay gap and also facilitates transparency and fairness in promotion and recruitment of
employees thus, lead to effective management of equality and diversity. Beside this,
effective culture training for staff is also recommended as it facilitates better knowledge
among employees regarding various cultures thus built respect and equality for
employees coming from diverse culture and backgrounds.
Performance review
The complete journey of this investigation is very joyful and informative for me which
has laed to an improvement in my personal skills and lead to enhancement in my knowledge. I
had tried my best to meet the objectives and goals of this research on well and prescribed time.
Thus, for effective planning use of project management plan is also made by me and various
assumptions and project timeframes are also lead by me. Beside this use of WBS and Gantt chart
are also made to achieve the targets on time together with effective management of resources and
work allocation. An effective tiny scale research is also lead by me which has lead to
enhancement in my communication and team management skills. Use of both the research
methods i.e. qualitative and quantitative is made by me to ensure the authenticity and reliability
of collected data which is gathered from primary source with the help of a questionnaire. Further
use of thematic approach is made by me for communication and presentation of findings of
research. Beside this many issues and obstruction are also faced by me which are associated with
inadequacy and limited resources and time which us timely identified and solved by me by using
various statistical tool and techniques. Thus, overall this research journey is very useful for me
both in terms of personal and professional development as it lead to improvement in my
analytical as well as research skills that will yield better possibility for me in forthcoming time.
With the help of this research and while conduction this project I got a better chance to
sharpen my skills and knowledge and learned many skills. My communication skills got better as
I got an opportunity to interact and communicate with various people. Beside this, effective time
management and leadership skills are also learnt by me as I had made many project management
plan together with Gantt chart and WBS structures that had lead to better skills in me. Therefore,
overall my interpersonal skills got improved that lead to enhancement in my personality.

CONCLUSION
With respect to this research report it can be summarised that managing a successful
business undertaking is a crucial task that involves various activity and task. Utilization and
application of project management plan is made for effective planning regarding various aspects
and factors of research that includes quality, performance, cost, etc. Beside this Gantt chart and
WBS structure are formed to meet the timeline and complete the project in prescribed duration.
There are two main methods of research that are qualitative and quantitative. Primary source
provides first hand and most bona fide data while secondary sources include past records and
information. Use of thematic approach facilitates effective presentation of data by making use of
pie charts and frequency table.
