INTRODUCTIONManaging a business in a more successful way at the time of globalisation so that strongmarket position can be attained at a global level. Globalisation introduces as an effective processthrough which different nations integrates with together via the exchange of goods, services,technology, skilled and unskilled labour etc. British Telecom company, a United Kingdom basedorganisation is taken for the purpose of completing the present assignment report. It deals withrendering communication services throughout the world (Ariely, 2012). This report will analysethe positive cultural, economic and ethical impacts of globalisation on various functions ofBritish Telecom. The aims, objectives and project management plan taking into considerationthe basic concepts like time scale, kinds of research like primary , secondary qualitative andquantitative. Lastly data recommendation and data interpretation have also done so as tofacilitate an organisation to carry out its decision to enhance business at a global level.Background of the ResearchGlobalisation is the process of products, services as well as people across differentnations. It describes the growing interdependencies of the world's economies, cultures andpopulation brought in by worldwide trade between nations in goods and services, technologies,flow of information, resources, finance, etc. British Telecom is engaged in giving telecommunication facilities in multiple number ofnations such as United Kingdom, United states etc.. Additionally, it renders its communicationservices to approx more than 180 nations (Crane and Matten, 2016). Moreover, the company hasalready achieved its great success at an international level as its delver excellent anddifferentiated customer services to a great level. Furthermore, the company has decided toenlarge its business operations across other different nations in order to achieve stronger brandimage than its competitors. Company must require taking a proper support from the differentdepartments in order to increase their scale of operations at global level. Here are brieflydescribed:Operations: Operating business at global level requires communication with differentclients with an objective of getting their support to achieve stability in new market. In additionto this its the responsible of Operation department to establish better ordination between differentdepartment of an organisation so as to minimise the duplication of work. 3
Marketing: It refers as a main department of an organisation which is responsible tocreate awareness about the goods and services an organisation is rendering to its customers at thenation in which the company has decided to expand its business. Therefore, marketingdepartment can achieve a success only if the company allot experience employee in marketingdepartment who possess expertise and enough knowledge about how to influence and to createawareness about goods and services in marketplaceHR: To attain sustainable growth in new market segment in short period of time it is verymuch essential for British Telecom company to hire HR who possess knowledge about differentlanguage, culture of different nation. As its the responsibility of HR department to select andrecruit best candidate who can effectively deal with different types of clients while enhancingbusiness at global level.Accounting: While expanding business at global level there take place lot of paperworkand transaction and it is very much essential to record each transaction in the book of account ofBritish Telecom organisation. It introduces to the life as well as work of people, families and societies.
