INTRODUCTION
In business sector, it is essential to manage activities and projects so that goals are
achieved in proper manner. Managing business project is necessary because it helps in a saving
time as well as resources (Chen, 2018). Main aim of this report is to understand the strategies that
are used in talent management. Morrisons, a largest supermarket headquartered in United Kingdom.
Enterprise deals in groceries products, other consumable items. This report comprises of project
aims & objectives, project management plan, WBS, Gantt chart, research methods, research data
and techniques, appropriate recommendations and reflection.
LITERATURE REVIEW
According to viewpoint of (Cha, 2018). talent management is defined as process or approach
of strategic process of gaining right talent & assisting them to achieve higher capabilities to
achieve organisational goals as well as objectives. This concept of talent management is essential as
it help in increasing higher productivity within workplace. This report focuses on detailed
research methods and tools used for research purpose. By properly accessing to this concept, it is
easy to make decisions regarding other key aspects. It is critically essential for enterprise to carry
out their management in such a way that appropriate talent is being recruited for business activities.
Further, managers and expertise are being hired by any enterprises for attracting talent in
organisation. Accessing to this concept leads to increasing of business performance as well as
satisfaction level of clients, There are various ways through which talent is pooled by firms such as
external sources, internal sources etc.
With rise of competition in market, it has become necessary for firm to manage & adapt
talent management in most appropriate way. Moreover, it is too analysed that when skills
subordinates, fresh talent is present in entity higher productivity is likely to be achieved in effective
manner. Also, HR of firm make assure that these processes of talent management fulfil all needs &
demands of businesses at all aspects.

Research aims- 'Examining talent management strategies at Morrisons'
Research objectives-
 To examine the effectiveness of talent management.
 To determine strategies for retaining employees.

 To analyse approaches as well as tools that are linked with talent management.
From above discussed matter, it has been examined that it is essential to focus on these
project aims as well as objectives so that goals are achieved in proper manner. Through properly
understanding of these aims leads to accessing of planning in most effective manner. Moreover, it
has been also examined that it is necessary to analyse them in such way that decisions are made
easily.
P2 Construct a project management plan
To complete a project, it requires a systematic process to be followed consisting of no of
stages, procedures and certain activities known as project management plan. This management plan
focuses on giving importance to achievement of strategic objectives in an appropriate manner.
Morrisons, is an entity that focuses on building successful PMP for effective decision making in the
organisation (Curry, 2019). The process of producing project plans consist of multiple components
mentioned in following points:
Scope: There is a wide reach of projects in Morrisons because the techniques, tools and
application used to construct them are adopted worldwide. Moreover, enterprises accept talent
management and find it beneficial at a broader level.
Time- Time taken to complete a particular project is a significant factor considered by
chosen company focusing on time scale of project. If a project is undertaken by the manager to
complete, it takes around 11 weeks of time duration to finish the project.

Quality- This component of PMP, focuses on quality of information and data gained from
the project. This shows how effective the plan is and assures its quality with help of total quality
management (TQL). Hereby, the selected company chooses best of primary and secondary

functions through quality sourcing of knowledge resources to build a project (Eseryel, 2020).
Communication: Proper communication in making of a project plan is essential ensuring
that the objectives and messages are carried out accordingly. Tools such as emails, texts, social
media are used as communication mediums for undertaken projects in the organisation.
Risk: It is a significant factor that determines risks occurred or going to occur during
production of a project plan. Business risks occur when there are changes in work patterns
dynamically due to uncertain situations or any other reason. So, here the risk identified from above
project is more time consumption while using talent management strategies consisting of
recruitment, training, induction and development. These processes might consume a lot of time
negatively impacting other departments apart from just Human resource department of the
organisation.
Resource: Utilizing resources is proved to be a crucial component in obtaining possible
output positively. Information, data, capital etc. are form of different project resources to be
optimized effectively and efficiently.
From above learning of components explained in paragraphs, it signifies that without a
proper project management plan , particular projects can not be explained and understood.
Therefore, It is responsibility of project manager top make effective decisions with the help of
elements that are risk, quality, communication, scope and resource.

In project and research, it is necessary to be aware about tools as well as technologies so
that goals are accomplished in appropriate manner. In reference to this conducted research, it is seen
both work breakdown & Gantt chart are important to be focused so that it is easy make decisions
about time frame and stages which are essential for completion of project. Furthermore,in
relevance of Morrisons they too uses this tools & techniques on basis of which they are able to carry
out projects at completing stage. It is duty of manager to make assures that these techniques are
used in most efficient manner (Fahri, 2020).
Gantt chart -
It is defined as tool used by entities to plan and schedule projects with aim of completing of
project in simpler manner (Hull, 2019). With help of Gantt chart, it is easy to determine as well as
analyse resources, manpower, planning that is required by project and to complete a assigned tasks
in proper manner. It is important for selected entity to make ensure that charts are being prepared in
correct way so that results are positively achieved. Moreover, it is too stated that it is necessary for

manager to make assure that these charts depicts the relevant information regarding concepts which
are static.
