is based on evaluation the policies over equality and diversity that are significant for a business
to developing the morale of employees. Therefore, it is important for the businesses to develop
suitable policies and practices to reduce the issue of equality and diversity at workplace as
policies are relevant to provide an effective environment to the employees to develop their skills
and ability of working. In this present report, the overall study has been executed over Unicorn
Grocery, thus it is a cooperative grocery store which is located in Chorlton cum hardy,
Manchester, England. The company was founded in the year of 1996. However, the primary
intention of the business is to develop suitable policies to promote equal and diverse working
environment (Mertkan And et. al., 2017).

two crucial area that has significant role developing suitable working environment to increase
business operations. Equality refers to ensuring people or groups of people are not treated
separately or less favourably, therefore equality is relevant in all workplaces and ensuing that
individual has the same opportunity without any kind of discrimination. On the other side,
Diversity mainly takes into account differences among individual and groups of people, by

placing a positive value on those differences. A diverse and inclusive workplace values people’s
different backgrounds, knowledge, skills, and experiences, and uses these differences to create a
productive and effective workforce. Thus managing equality and diversity are equally significant
for the business to increase the morale of employees at workplace. Unicorn Grocery is the
effective cooperative grocery store, which is located in Chorlton-cum-Hardy. The headquarter of
the firm is in 89 Albany Rd, Chorlton, Manchester, M21 0BN, England. The firm deals in
grocery products, thus the company is having 70 employees who are contributing their
significant efforts in the development of business, thus the key obligation of the business and its
management is to implementing effective policies to enhancing the morale of employees at
workplace (Jindra And et. al., 2014).
