INTRODUCTION
Talent Management means making use of those ways in which the HR department in the
organizations is able to manage the talent of the talented people in an appropriate way (Chen,
Lee and Ahlstrom, 2021). For the enhancement in the efficiency and effectiveness level it is
important that the HR department of the organizations is able to bring the required level of
improvements in a proper manner in the terms of Talent Management. Attainment of short-term,
medium-term and long-term goals and objectives can be done by using it so that the companies
are able to develop and nurture talent. This report will focus on Asda. It is a British Company
which provides a wide variety of products and services to its different types of customers in the
market. In this assignment, there will be specific focus on Project Planning, Conducting of
Primary and Secondary Research, Presentation of the findings. Additionally, specific analysis on
Reflective Practice will also be made as a part of this project.

Research Topic- “Talent Management Strategies to be used by the HR departments in an
organization- A Case Study on Asda”
Aim- To find out about the use of Talent Management Strategies to be used within the
organizations and learn more about their application in the practical scenario of the business.
Objectives-
To identify and analyse the needs and requirements of Talent Management in an
organization.
To identify the future strategies to be applied within an organization in the context of
Talent Management in an organization.
To assess the importance of making the use of different types of future strategies within
an organization to attain the wide variety of goals and objectives.
Research Questions-
To identify the role of HR department in applying the Talent Management Strategies
within an organization.
To assess the needs and requirements of making the use of Talent Management Strategies
in an organization.

To identify the importance of making the use of Talent Management Strategies within the
organization.
According to Vidhi Shukla, there is an importance of making the use of effective HR strategies
to be applied in Talent Management within the organizations. The HR department of the
organizations therefore plays an important role in this regard. In the context of Asda, it is quite
crucial that the use of best Talent Management Strategies can be made effectively and efficiently
so that the attainment of a wide range of short-term, medium-term and long-term goals and
objectives can be made in the right manner. Thus it becomes very important that the HR
managers of an organization are able to identify and assess the best talented people within an
organization and can nurture them well with the use of appropriate strategies and techniques.
This will be helpful as it will contribute towards the enhancement in the overall productivity
level within the organizations in the right manner. Thus, it is crucial that the use of appropriate
methods can be made so that the management of talented people is done in a proper way thereby
helping in channelizing their growth in the firm.
As per the views of I Chowdhury, Talent Management refers to a way through which the
overall integration of the business policies can be done with the employee related processes of
the business. There is a need for applying its strategies and methods in the workplaces because
by making its use the organizations can make sure that the talent of the people can be managed in
an appropriate manner. Further, it is highly crucial that the application of the Talent Management
Strategies and Methods can be made so that the attainment of higher-level of efficiency and
effectiveness can be made. Thus, the role of the HR department in Asda is to make sure that the
implementation of Talent Management Strategies can be done within the company which will be
helpful from the HR point of view as it will lead towards creation of a higher-level of efficiency
and effectiveness in the future. Therefore, it is crucial that the organizations make the use of best
methods in it so that the retention of the best talented people within the firms can be done.
According to Susan M. Heathfield, Talent Management is an important business strategy
which can be used by the organizations so that they are able to ensure that they can manage out
the processes in an appropriate manner. For the HR department in Asda, it is absolutely crucial
that the use of Talent Management Strategies can be made so that the company is able to
appropriately manage the various types of talented people easily. This will help a lot in ensuring

done quite appropriately.
Therefore, it can be said that using Talent Management Strategies and Techniques
becomes important so that the organizations are able to manage the different types of talented
people in a proper manner which will help them to be able to attain the goals and objectives in a
right way in the future.
Project Management Plan
A Project Management Plan refers to a detailed structure which has to be adopted so that
the organizations are able to ensure that the project can achieve the desired level of success. The
management of Asda therefore needs to make sure that the use of the Project Management Plan
has to be made so that it is able to make use of the appropriate methods and techniques so that its
Project of Talent Management is able to attain its goals and objectives in a right way in the future
(Dina and et.al., 2021).
In Asda, the use of the following Project Management Plan has to be made for the
attainment of the desired level of success of the Project in a proper way-
Scope- The Talent Management Project of Asda is quite wide in its scope because by

done in a right manner (Harimurti and Hermawan, 2021). The Project will cover various ways in
which the overall management of the people in these firms can take place and the identification
of the different types of methods and techniques so that the talent of the people can be used for
enhancing the productivity level.
Resources Required- There will be a requirement of Human Resources, Financial
Resources, Technical Resources as well as the Operational Resources so that the projects of the
organization are executed well and thus can be quite helpful in ensuring that the attainment of the
overall goals and objectives in the future can be done quite effectively and efficiently in the right
manner.

Work Breakdown Structure- A detailed WBS of the project of Talent Management in
Asda will be prepared which will thereby help the management in ensuring that the management
of the talented people can be done well. This will be quite helpful in enhancing the level of
efficiency and effectiveness. Thus, In this way it can be said the different types of activities can
be divided across the various people which will be quite helpful in attaining the desired goals and
objectives.
Project Schedule- For the purpose of formulation of a Project Schedule, the use of a
Gantt Chart will be made so that the different types of activities can be segregated in a proper
manner and their Start and End Dates can be set. Therefore, In this manner it can be said that the
use of a Gantt Chart can help Asda so that it is able to ensure that it can set an appropriate
schedule which will lead towards development of an overall level of efficiency and effectiveness
in the future.
Project Stakeholders- The different types of Project Stakeholders are quite important in
a project (Mendoza Velazco and et.al., 2021). Asda's various Project Stakeholders are as follows-
Employees- The employees of Asda will be important stakeholders because their needs
and requirements are required to be considered within the organization so that the
company can maintain higher-level of standards.
HR department- The HR department of Asda is an important stakeholder in the project
because it has to formulate the different types of strategies and methods which are
required for the purpose of attainment of the wide range of HR goals and objectives
effectively and efficiently.
Budget- It refers to the estimation of the receipts and expenditures over a certain period of time.
Therefore, In the context of Asda, the preparation of a Budget is quite essential. In a company
