INTRODUCTION
In the modern era, a business process mainly focus on analysing the market place and
thus targeting the market so that aims and objectives can be achieved in an effective manner
along with the competitive benefits. For the competitive advantage, it is highly essential to
formulate effective plans and strategies. An organisation can make their plans and policies more
operative by the innovative ideas with the help of digitalisation and large group of customers can
be acquired with the help of latest technology (Baiden and Price, 2011). Modification and
development of the products is a process in which company can satisfy customers in maximum
level. Company chosen for this report is Hotel Hilton who is specialised in providing services to
the customers in an effective manner. Topics covered under this report are aims and objectives of
the business process and other techniques utilised to analyse and collect data for interrogating
results and outputs.
TASK 1
P1 Aims and objectives
In the current scenario, everything is becoming dynamic and flexible in nature and
specially a business process due to social trends and changing demands of the customers.
Therefore, it has become very important to adopt the latest technology so that productivity and
other operations can be carried out in an effective manner and large amount of customers can be
added in the account of business process (Chang, Walters and Wills, 2013). This in turn majorly
helps in gaining lead position in competitive market. Business tasks can be achieved and can be
more smooth by the adoption of digitalisation process. Digitalisation process helps out in
providing cloud storage where the data and essential information can be stored so that they can
have back up and high security of data. Moreover, the process of digitalisation enables a firm to
maintain effective communication channel so that information can be channelised among the
staff members and also it reduces the chances of error like duplicacy of work and many more.
Hotel Hilton can adopt the latest technology so that satisfaction level can be maximised
regarding customers and they can make long lasting relationships with them. Service can be
more effective by new ways like providing smart cards for the room which can be easily
operated. Moreover, various ways can be adopted like universal remote in their smart phones or
making wash-rooms more attractive and many more (Sparrow, 2012).

Every business process has some common motives and they are development according
to the external nature and marketplace and expanding their operations so that more customers
can be added into their account. For the competitive advantage, every industry whether it is small
or large scale industry seeks out for the opportunity of adopting latest budgeted technology so
that more market share can be acquired along with group of customers. Expected surveys and
feedbacks can be obtained and they can be modified with the help of digitalisation process. Due
to regular changing in demands of the customers, it is highly essential to keep the old records for
the preference and other purposes like future decision making process (Doherty, Ashurst and
Peppard, 2012).

P2 Project management Plan
In this approach help is being provided to the interrelated groups and concepts so that
determination and evaluation can be done so that major step can be taken towards set ups and in
turn this makes easy to attain the goals and objectives of the firm. Several activities and tasks are
important to perform while conducting a research as it aids in maintaining the coordination and
balance among them but that will only happen when the upcoming stages have been planned
(Gido, Clements and Clements, 2014). Determination of particular elements which can be used
as standard scale for the whole examination process and they can be like cost, quality, budget,

scope and many others. Various elements which are being utilised by describing the operations
scale by the help of digitalisation and they are explained below:
Research's Nature: This process contains high value as it is used in examination of the
operations and thus can aid an organisation so that growth and success can be attained. By the
help of online options concern can be safeguarded in the market place by implementation of the
digital methods within code of conduct and other several policies which can aide in delivering
customer support services. Due to the collection of huge and important data, complexity occurs
in the nature of research study and thus it make digitalisation to improve the complexity in

Risk In Management: Various activities will be conducted which will help researcher to follow

allocated time, work breakdown structures and Gantt Chart are helpful so that better outcomes
can be attained in effective manner.
Work Breakdown Structure:
This is a framework which is interrelated with attaining all the enterprise process and
tasks can be divided into equal ratios within desired time frame. Every business process adopt
this kind of approach so that aims and objectives can be obtained within desired time frame.
Work breakdown structure is mainly beneficial for the staff members as it helps them to reduce
the load of work and delegate the tasks and objectives so that result obtained in the favour of
their expectations (Meredith and Mantel Jr, 2011). Moreover, this kind of approach can be used
by the company who are conducting their operations on either large scale or they have complex
operations to perform, this will indeed help them to make the procedure ease in nature and also
allows them to perform activities in effective nature. Hotel Hilton is mainly using this kind of
approach in order to manage the complex activities and operations among staff members (The
Work Breakdown Structure. 2015). This will not only allow them to achieve the tasks and
objectives but also will make them upgrade their set of skills and knowledge so that they can
give output as high performance work.

Gantt Chart:
In order to complete all kind of business operations this approach is
extremely effective. In simple words, Gantt chart is a horizontal bar which
was invented by scientist Henry L. Gantt in 1917. Gantt chart is basically a
binocular which gives a clear vision of project status but the issue is that it
does not tell about the tasks which are interrelated to each other. Gantt
chart provides the information which is necessary for changing and
adopting the changes in market place and in organisational environment as
well (Myers, 2013). It basically works on the principle of staff members which
provides several methodologies for achieving the tasks and objectives
within business operations so that company's vision can be obtained in
effective and efficient manner. So this kind of approach is basically used by
the Hotel Hilton so that operations and other activities can be performed in
effective manner within tenure so that it can give competitive advantage
and acquiring large amount of customers.

P4 Research by implementing methodology
Certain plans and strategies needs to be made while conducting a research so that various
benefits to the enterprise can be acquired. With the help of various methods logical output can be
observed by the investigation. Moreover, judgement can be taken by the authorities in order to
create effective and smooth working environment so that high performance can be seen within
employees (Peppard and Ward, 2016.). Two methods are used to conduct the research and they
are explained below:

 Secondary
Both the methods can be utilised so that it can make decision making process more effective and
efficient so it can be sustained for long period of time. Hotel Hilton is applying both the methods
in order to collect the valuable data and determine the ways by which the digitalisation can make
the performance level high (Polonsky and Waller, 2014).
Primary Data: When the high accuracy is being required by the company, primary data is being
used because this data is being formulated for the first time. Various tools and techniques are
being used to gather the data and those can be like questionnaire, interviews and observations
and many more. This enables company to gain the data with the high accuracy and even
authenticate data as well. Moreover this allows researcher to fulfil his\her actual needs and wants
so that maximum satisfaction level can be gained (Putnam and Myers, 2013). Authorities of
Hotel Hilton has adopted this kind of technique so that surveys and feedback which are taken

form the customers can have much more effective outcomes. This kind of technique is used by
managers in order to formulate questionnaire and also 40 candidates who have responded within
marketplace (Rosemann and vom Brocke, 2015).

As per the above report it can be comprehended that several plans and policies are being
adopted by the company regarding digitalisation so that it can be successful and large number of
customers can be attracted and acquired so that aims and objectives can be attained. For the
evaluation growth and success various methods can be identified so that evaluation of
performance can be done. Adoption of latest technology is the one of the various tools and
techniques of the digitalisation so that operations can be conducted in effective manner and thus
outcomes can be seen in the favour of the company. Hotel Hilton is expanding their operations
and business by going online and making customers book hotel rooms online. Moreover they
have created app for smartphones by which inside and outside can be seen of hotel rooms and
thus after that booking can be done just by single click. Another technique which is adopted by

the Hotel Hilton is the cloud storage in which customers database is being stored and other vital
information which may be used for future modifications. Moreover the authorities can access the
data from anywhere and can also make changes in that. Customers who are linked with the hotel
chains can be made aware about the offers and discounts regarding any occasion or any festival
through the e-mails or text message on their cell phones and this way promotion can also be
attained.
Digital technology is required to be adopted by the Hotel Hilton so that experience of the
customers can be more effective and long lasting. Payment through applications through
smartphone and credit cards who prefer online transactions can be done so that they can be more
comfortable and clear about payment and thus long lasting relationship can be established. High
revenue can be generated and along with that competitive advantage can be taken with the help
of effective planning and strategies. Quality services can also be given to the customers so that
they can be satisfied and do the mouth publicity of the services of the hotel. Moreover, data can
be stored of the customers who visit on regular basis and that data can be stored on cloud
services so that whenever the customer visit next time does not have to give their details again
and again. Therefore it can be stated that digital methods is modifying the shape of market and
thus making the operations of company much more easier and leads towards growth. This
majorly saves the time but not much effective for cost and thus it leads to attain the mission and
vision of the firm.

P7 Prepare a reflective report
In the process of growth and success, the major element is business planning. While
conducting this report and minor research I came to know that having competitive advantage is
the most important part as it helps to identify the factors which are directly or indirectly
connected to the future performance and production in target market. This process will help in
making the company more dynamic and flexible in nature. Managers of the Hotel Hilton needs to
forecast the every upcoming situation regarding marketplace so that all plans and strategies
which are made for the growth and attracting customers does not go in vain and effective
outcomes can be achieved. From my point of view, everyday new technology comes into market

and thus they can be adopted by the company so that goodwill can be enhanced and also large
amount of customers can be added.
Hotel Hilton needs to hire those candidates who have high skills and can give better service to
the customers. Moreover they focus on enhancing brand image and market growth. By the
completion of research and this project, data has been collected by me from the various resources
so that my skills and knowledge can be improved. In addition, it taught me to deal with difficult
situations and this will lead to the path way of good future by being a leader.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that digital technology has many roles and
responsibilities regarding enhancing the number of customers who can utilise the services
provided by the hotel. Time management strategies are being used so that every task and activity
can be achieved in allocated time and thus aims and objectives of the firm can be achieved in
efficient and effective manner. In this report, several aims and objectives have been discussed
and research has been conducted to gather the data for supporting this project.
