INTRODUCTION
Human resource department manages the employees working in an organisation. The
activities of the department starts right from recruitment to conducting exit interviews.
Hospitality industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world which requires good
number of skilled and talented personnel who can achieve the targets (Terziev, 2019). This report
is an individual reflective portfolio and the chosen entity is The Choice Hotel International which
has hotel chains in the world and headquarters a located in Rockville, Maryland, United States.
In this report, job description and a person specification, pros and cons of internal and external
recruitment process, critical analysis of objectives, advantages and the stages of induction for
the new employees, and finally application of suitable examples for analyzing and discussing the
training delivery methods and strategies in hospitality industry has been included.

Job description- It is a statement which includes specifications of a particular job or
position in an entity. It describes the conditions along with responsibilities off the job. Every
applicant has to go through the specifications provided before applying for the job (MOKOENA,
2019).
