INTRODUCTIONChange is an on-going process which is indispensable for the company success in orderto cope up with current fluctuation in various internal and external factors. In fact, organizationalchange is all about implementation of new plans and policies at workplace for managing thingsin different way. However, change is inevitable in nature and somehow beneficial also foremployees and customers both (Carnall, 2018). For example, reforming of existing product isadvantageous for users as they will get something new whereas implementation of modernmethods provides an opportunity to the employees for gaining advanced tools. As a result, boththe changes is in the favour of organization because satisfaction of customers aids inmaximization of organizational sales whereas knowledge enhancement of staff members helpsassociation in maximizing their productivity. This assignment is based on “Body shop” which is an international British brand ofcosmetic products, skin care and perfume organization that was founded in almost 1976 byDame Anita Roddick. Currently, company is having a range of almost 1000 goods which soldaround 3,049 owned and franchised stores across the globe in nearly 66 countries. Therefore,project is going to highlight the resources impact of change on enterprise by analysing itspositive and negative implications at workplace. Furthermore, plans which is designed by thiscompany for implementing change is also discussed in the report with the help of support teamand managing change approach. Lastly, monitoring and evaluation of change process is alsooutlined in the assignment for identifying its success and failure.TASK 11.1 Analyse the resources influence of change on an organizationBody Shop is a British cosmetic association which is engaged in offering skin careproducts and perfume with fully unique quality that attracts the large number of customers.Basically, this organization is owned by Brazilian cosmetic association named as Natura. Asduring the era of 2006 to 2017 company had been owned by French beauty organization which isalso one of the famous in cosmetic industry named as L’Oreal. Thus, in June of 2017, L’Orealagrees to sell the organization to Natura for almost £880 million and the deal was finalised inalmost 20117 September. During that time, controversy in media claims that L’Oreal wascontinuing to test on animals which is contradicts by the Body Shop because animal testing is3

totally against according to the core values of company. Hence, now Natura is a brand whoalways concentrates in reducing the animal testing things and use education or training things foridentifying alternative tools and technologies as well as use only fresh and sustainableingredients. This shows that this company is also going for change as per current needs anddemand of customer. In fact, rejection of animal testing is one of the best examples of BodyShop which shows that this company believes in using different resources instead of followingothers (Brownand Osborne, 2012). Resources is a term which means that the elements or assets that is used by anorganization for accomplishing their business activities in order to attain set objectives or goalsin a defined time frame. However, numbers of resources are used by Cosmetic enterprise whilerunning their business entity such as; land and building, plant and machinery, workforce, naturalingredients, some other raw materials, equipment’s, selling strategies and many more. Withoutthese resources an organization cannot able to step forward. But now in this modern world,changes in resources are also playing very crucial in an organization because all the businessactivities are based on these resources only. Mainly, all the resources which are used by anenterprise till now are becoming so old fashioned that are not preferred by current society due tothe creation of modern world. Therefore, Body shop is also going for change resources andtrying to use modern methods of performing business operations in order to cope up with currenttrends. As this will help in seeking the attention of large number of customers who are becomingmodern and preferred updated products (Chaffeyand White, 2010). Thus, some of the changeresources which are used by an organization and its influence on Body shop are discussed asfollows- Production process- In previous years, production process is used to utilise traditionalmethods of designing creative products and face numerous problems while converting rawmaterials into finished goods. For example; mashing of turmeric through stones, cut the leaves ofaloe-Vera for making hair oils or cream, products of spa are handmade and many more thingswhich is collected by company by themselves for making final products. In fact, sometimecosmetic organization use two different materials for making one in order to use further indesigning something more creative. But now-a-days production process is totally changedbecause almost every material is available in marketplace and easy to find at market throughwhich company can easily create their unique products.
