This presentation discusses the existing communication structure in Cunningham Enterprise and suggests improvements to enhance communication effectiveness. It also explains the steps to implement the improvements and the benefits of communication planning. The existing communication structure includes downward, upward, and horizontal communication. The current pitfall in the existing communication system is improper delegation of tasks and policies, personal grudges between departments, poor feedback system, lack of appraisal settings, no standard reporting system, and lengthy procedure of communication. The improvements that can be introduced in the existing structure are a clear line of communication, a proper media or medium of communication, gathering employees' grievances, a set medium of communication for the appraisal system, and using written and oral communication to communicate more complicated messages. An effective integration of organizational communication system can be achieved through communication planning. Communication planning by the organization should be done to accomplish staying focused, discovering opportunities, optimizing challenges, and monitoring the efforts.
