PROJECT 1
1. Introduction
Managing event and conferences is the process of event management where organizations
design and implementation small or large-scale activities such as festivals, seminars,
celebrations, weddings, formal gatherings, conventions and meetings (Bondi, 2019). Local
business owner decided to enter into new business which is event management and the name of
company is Planner.com. This report covers the several topics such as different category of
events and also discusses the features & trends of selected event. In addition, also cover the
current trends of the events which required by the organizations for the innovation purpose.
2. Examination of the different categories and dimensions of events using specific examples to
illustrate the differences
There are mainly three different types of event where an individual can diversify into new
business. These are mentioned below:
Private event: In this event, several activities will be performed such as wedding, wedding
reception, social gathering, birthday parties etc. Basically it means, people book private events
for the purpose of celebrating any event. For example: A family book a venue for wedding
reception of their son, this event will be entered into private event where they known people are
invited as guest.
Corporate event: In this event, people promote their business through promoting their
goods and services. For example: Workshops, conferences, training sessions etc. Main aim of
conducting this event is to improve their workforce efficiency or make people aware about the
changes which are necessary for the organization.
Charitable event: This event will be conducted to generate money for any special cause
such as for any social cause, sports event, charitable auction etc. In this kind of event, organizer
have specific motto related to social cause.
From the above discussed events, private event is more beneficial to enter in this industry
because it is more profitable as well as demandable in the market.
