INTRODUCTIONChanges is defined as the process through which something would be perform in moredifferent manner. It is very crucial for an organisation to remain competitive and updated withthe changes that are made in market or demanded by customers. But in order to implement thesechanges effectively, managers are responsible for formulation of strategies as well as policiesthat provide direction in which particular change required to be implemented within theorganisation or market as well (Hickman and Silva, 2018). For performing this report, arestaurant named as Sketch Glade will be consider which is situated in 9 Conduit Street, London,United Kingdom. It offers variety of dishes for breakfast and brunch along with some sort ofsnacks as well as cocktails (Sketch Glade, 2019). This restaurant is performing its operationsfrom 18th century as a town house tea room which transforms every evening into a cocktaillounge. But as the number of new theme based restaurant get establish over the street thecustomers base of Sketch Glade restaurant get diverted. So in order to attract them back, in June 2017 restaurant has transform its interior byinvolving the quintessential spirit of The Glade by adding the carved wooden shelves, colouredmirrored table tops, rich velvet upholstery in distinctive shades of green, violet and cobalt bluealong with a tinted glass ceiling. The analysis over this is presented because it support indetermining the before and after impact of change over the customer base, restaurant sale and itsprofitability which support in determining whether the change in restaurant is helpful or not.Individual doesn't lead change because it is a plan which is implemented for analysing the impactof the particular idea and for this, investigation has been performed over the relevant documentsand reports of restaurant to identify its influence.Main BodyAnalysisIn today's competitive world, changes within the business and its operations are becomecompulsory in order to remain connected with customers by completing all their changingdemand and expectations (Olins, 2017). The Sketch Glade is a restaurant which perform itsoperations within London from 18th century, but as the demand arises in hospitality sector largernumber of people come and start up their restaurant or cafe as per different themes or offers withan aim to cater the varying need of customers by offering high quality services. higher competition in front of The Sketch Glade which in turn also reduces customer base asthey get attracted toward another options available in market. So, in order to deal with such issueThe Sketch Glade has decided to bringing changes in their ambience which support them bytotally transforming the ambience of restaurant into an attracting place. This also help inincreasing the interest of customer toward visiting the restaurant. Hence, there are number ofapproaches that has been consider by the change agent while making decision regarding bringingimprovement into the interior of the restaurant with an aim to attract larger number of people tothe place (Barrett and Murphy, 2017). The approaches consider by The Sketch Glade can bebetter understood using following factors:a) the image of type of change held by the change agent(s):-In order to deal with the issues of decreasing number of customers, The Sketch Glade hasdecided to improve its environment of restaurant by changing its interior which is consider to bea major factor which attract people toward a restaurant to avail services. This is because peoplelove to visit place for having food which represents some unique feature, have a great ambience,peaceful and a place which lighten up their mood as people usually visit a restaurant mainly forhaving their happy hours or a official meeting which both require sort of peace, privacy and greatambience. Hence in order to present this sort of place, the change agents work to improving theambience of The Sketch Glade restaurant in such a manner which make it more attractive andeye catchy place that make customers to visit it again and again. The ambience is designed as perthe woodland and forest theme in which heavenly rays beamed down in the pool of light whichhighlight the sketches made at wall in more attractive manner. In addition to this, it includes thecarved wooden shelves, lush carpet of pine needles and spongy grass for representing the forestfloor, coloured mirror table top along with tinted glass ceiling and a self playing piano, serenadesthe Glade from day to night (Step Inside the Glade, London’s Newest Must-See Boîte, 2019).These all provide a lavish look to the restaurant which attract people to spend their time oversuch a beautiful place which provide a sort of happiness to them. These all are the attractivefeature of this new place which help in enhancing the customers visit to the restaurant as it isbased on unique theme (Crane and et. al., 2019). Despite of this, the menu is also get improved by The Sketch Glade to deliver with someambrosial dishes that are offered within the eclectic new brunch menu. The Alice-in-Wonderlandcharm is still continuing in the bucket load but the new brunch menu to boot and new sketches2
