Title-“Handling Employee Pushback during Digital Transformation.”
Background of Study
In the business world, the companies that have been undergoing changes because of the
transformation of the companies from manual to the use of the digital technologies go through
the problems like handling the employee pushback. The digital technology for years has
contributed to the growth of the quality and quantity of services that are provided to the
customers. It has become very important to be technologically developed and sound to gain the
competitive advantage in this changing business market. The society has adopted the digital
technology and is growing at a fast pace. The management has to decide on many areas before
choosing the type of technology in their organization or the company. The main issue that arises
with the digital transformation of the company is the employee pushback and is very prominent
once the business is transformed into the digital technology (Radwan, 2017). In the initial years
of transforming, the workforce has much work burden and due to the human nature where the
humans are not comfortable with the change in their routine comes up and the employee
pushback arises or starts as they have the fear that they will have to sacrifice their jobs as
advanced equipment and machines can work faster than the human beings. It is very difficult to
handle the employee pushback for the companies. This study is basically focused on handling
the employee pushback during the digital transformation of the company (Saini and Khurana,
2015). For example, in the big companies, the entrance gate has cameras and security checks
and alerts that are digitally managed and controlled and are digitally equipped and there is no
requirement for the human beings or gatekeepers. Same way, for the Specsavers the research is
conducted on the employee pushback during the digital transformation. It is important to
