INTRODUCTION
Human resource is a approach for managing people in a company or firm in such a way
so that they can help in business to gain a competitive advantage. It is made for to make better
employees performance in service of an organisation to gain better outcomes. Managing human
resource concern with activities that a manager performs related to organisation's employees. It
also works towards to manage people into organisation in that way so that they can help firm by
better actions. Managing human resource includes planning and staffing of employees, help them
to achieve direction, goal and vision, provides motivation and contribution etc. HR management
helps in bridge the gap in employees performance and organisation's objective. Human resource
operations contributes towards success of an organisation by staffing skilled employees. The
company which is selected for this report is Morrisons (Zubek, M.Thite, Vashishtha and Sharma,
2019). It is a retail base firm and chain of largest supermarkets in the UK. It was founded in
1899, 121 years ago and headquarter located in Bradford, England. The product chain it covers
with it is food and drink, clothing, books and magazines, CDs and DVDs etc. This report covers
topic such as definition, explanation and analysis of the four contractual model and their
advantages or disadvantages. Apart from this it also covers two different organisations used in
contractual approaches.
MAIN BODY
1. Analysis of four types of contractual models and their advantages or disadvantage:
Permanent full-time contracts: This type of contract is most common. This is simple type
of contract on which employee or employer reliant upon. End date of employment is not
determined in this contract. Along with salary, casual or sick holidays, health care, vacation
holidays are also benefited to such employees. Morrisons has further expanded its permanent
staff after pandemic due to rapid expansion in online delivery services. It is planning to hire
almost thousands of more permanent staff.
Advantages of permanent full-time contract: Career advancement and development
chances increases for employees in such type of contract. That is, it increases opportunity
for promotions. It also gives a sense of job security to permanent workforce. Employees
also have income security as they get fixed salary at the end of month. Job hunting is
eliminated, hence employees can focus on developing skills on the particular job and in
