INTRODUCTION
There are several different sectors present in the market that provides a wide range of different
products and services to the customers. Out of all these different sectors, the sector health and
social care is only one which entirely concentrates on the quality of services that it provides to
the service users. The primary motive of every health and social care organization is to provide
high quality services to the patients and other service users so as to ensure that the health of
patients does not get affected. The following assignment discusses about the different aspects
that are allied to the recruitment of people within a health and social care organization like
“Bernash Care Home”. This care home belongs to the sector of health and social care and the
status of organization is private nursing home. Bernash Care Home is situated in Bristol, UK and
it serves the patients with high quality services and health care treatments.
The department of Human Resource Management of Bernash Care Home utilizes different ways
to recruit workers for the association. The human resources that are hired in this sector must
possess high skills and knowledge regarding the sector, because in this sector the life of people
are involved and no organization can take any kind of risk regarding that. The HRM department
of Bernash Care Home needs to hire health care practitioners within the workplace, and thus
this assignment deliberates about the factors associated with the hiring and recruitment of the
human resources.

In order to achieve all the aims and objectives of the organization of a health and social care
sector, it is very important for the department of Human Resource Management and the
organization’s HR manager to develop and implement effective strategies for the recruitment of
employees within the workplace. There are several different factors such as operational factors
and strategic factors that are needed to be considered while developing plans for the
recruitment of an individual in an organization (Alharbi, et al. 2017).
From the case of Bernash Care Home it can be analyzed that the organization wants to hire
health care practitioners for the post of nurses and care takers within the organization. Thus,
there is an assortment of different factors that can be considered. The basic and most
important factor that is needed to be considered for the hiring of an individual in a health care
organization is that there must not be any biasing during the recruitment process. Every
candidate must be judged fairly and the decisions must be taken in favor of the most
appropriate candidate for the post. Another factor that is to be considered while recruitment is
that only the candidates with most appropriate skillset and knowledge that are required for a
particular post within the company must be hired. Other than this, another important factor
that is needed to be considered during the recruitment procedure at Bernash Care Home is that
all the rules and regulations that are made by the government of nation must be appropriately
followed.
