INTRODUCTION
Managing people is one of the major tasks for any company’s top-level management,
because by managing people or employees within workplace the company can achieve its
decided goals in the market. Currently existing management within many businesses are taking
various innovative steps towards properly managing people or employees within workplace.
There are people management is directly link to these activities which has taken a company for
systematically marinating high performance and productivity if existing employees. This report
discusses people management within Morrisons. It is a popular retail company, headquartered in
Bradford, England, UK. Currently this company has workforce of 110,000 number of
employees. Some major employment contracts also have been discussed in this report. On the
other side, various benefits and disadvantages employment contracts to employer and employees

Currently employment contracts play very effective role within the Morrisons for both
employer or employees. Basically an employment contract has always signed between parties,
employer and employee. In this contract, Morrisons always mentioned those all policies, rules
and regulations, terms & conditions which an employee needs to follow while working in this
company. Generally, employment contract provides legal support to the company and its
employees (Chang, 2018). On the other side, top-level management of the Morrison has highly
required to consider these employment contracts within its daily operations, otherwise company
can face different legal issues like; penalty, court hearing etc. Reason is, currently each business
or company within the United Kingdom is highly responsible to follow or adhere those laws
which the local government has imposed on different businesses. In this situation, these
employment contracts are also major part of the UK’s business law. This is the main reason that,
top-level management at Morrisons should always consider these contract within its business
environment. On the other side, an employment contract gives opportunity to a business for
