2. Tell us about a time you worked in a group to achieve an objective (what did you do
and what was the outcome?)
In enhancing the sales and strongly influence the client towards our services, I have worked
on a project based on managing the technical software program in 2016. Hereby, this task
has assigned to a team of six members, including me with purpose to increase sales revenue
by 15% in next two months. But all these members are belonged from different internal
departments of XYZ Firm that are – one from IT department, two of operational team, one from
sales team and two of Accounts section. Along with this, all are highly experienced in their respective
field, where I have given the responsibility first time to lead all members and contribute best efforts,
for successful development and implementation of given project. As it was my first group project as
a leader, so, I have firstly worked on grabbing knowledge of different leadership styles and theories,
so that better one can be applied on arise situation. With this assistance, I have adopted Laiseez
Faire style and Tuckman Theory of team development, to positively influence team members, to
work in collaboration for achievement of goal. Thus, through this process, I was able to earn
team efforts and contribution in completing the assigned projects in desired manner.
3. Tell us about a time when you identified a new approach to solve a problem. (what did
you do and what was the outcome?)

Recognising my previous experience, the main role of mine in XYZ firm, is to organise all
the client events, which requires to be a part of group, because to perform such role
individually seems to be not possible. As this firm is counted as top provider of security
software to clients, where they are taken as main driver of success. Therefore, it has
been analysed that in 2016, sales performance was dropped by 10% as compared to
previous year, that reflects poor retention of loyal customers also. So, to overcome from
this situation, as an account executive I have suggested a number of actions to seniors. It
includes prepare a questionnaire in both open and closed ended manner, to take
feedbacks of loyal clients via social media and personal mail system. This would help in
analysing where the company lacks in and strategies by which it can overcome from the
same. Based on this strategic plan, our firm becomes able to revamp the agenda in
getting back the retention of loyal customers and improving sales performance, with
enhancement of brand image at UK marketplace.
4. Tell us about a time when you had to manage a number of different priorities and
complete a number of tasks in a short amount of time (what did you do and what was
the outcome?)
Coping with conflicting priorities where near about all projects are on deadline, is the most
hectic problem of a business. In 2017, business on company in which I currently working was
on hike period, where increasing demand of clients to get fast services arise situation to face
difficulties in handling the same. So, to manage this situation, I have utilised the strategic
thinking of my seniors, commitment of group members, long-range vision as well as
knowledge of leaders, to determine which tasks are more important, so that deadline of
same need to be met first.

INTERVIEW PRACTICE
During the interview simulation, I was get opportunity to identify my strengths and areas where
more work needed to develop, for earning a position in a firm.
Strengths:
 I have identified that well-professional attire that I have worn on interview data, helps in
grabbing the attention of interviewers. As I was the only one who comes in formals, so, it has
increased my self-confidence and makes me able to give answers by looking into eyes of
interviewer.
 Feedback from interviewers aid me to identify the sharp communication skills and decisive
thinker ability, where without wasting much time, I have quickly given the solutions of
business problems asked by them.
Weaknesses:
 While answering the questions I found myself as a less focused where without thinking more
on a situation, the way I have given the answers proves wrong.
 To show the level of experience, overconfidence of mine give a negative impression on
authorities also. Therefore, I need to work on this weakness in order to reflect the positive
image of mine.

ASSESSMENT CENTRE PRACTICE
The assessment centre simulation at THG Sports was carried out in groups, that provides a good
opportunity to me to socialise with other applicants and interviewers. This assessment day was full
of experience, where I have learnt a lot. So, recognising that day, some positive and negative points I
would like to share -
Positive:
 Participating in group activity helps to show level of competence and team-working skills
easily to a candidate, where recruiters can analyse the abilities and interactive skills more
appropriately.
 Leadership, critical and decisive thinking skills, ethical and calm behaviour etc., are some
abilities that a person can show while participating in a group task, during the hiring process.
Negative:
 Communication within group was quite interested, but where interviewers continuously
watches how we interact each other, to analyse the skills. This would arise inferiority in me
and led to low my confidence in developing interaction with others.
 Asking questions in group although proves helpful in determining the knowledge level of
each other, but chances of active participation of all candidates, however, seems low.
