having various subsidiaries. This has eight main brands such as Burton, Perkins, Miss Selfridge,
Topman, Dorothy, Evans, Topshop, Outfit. There are more than 22,000 employees working in
organisation. This administration has more than 2500 stores in United Kingdom. It is considered
as UK largest private owned fashion organisation. The respective firm has very pleasant and
wonderful environment for working. It is informal while professional and mixture of business
with fun. All the brands of Arcadia has their own distinct features and flavours for consumers. I
want to work with this organisation as it provides an opportunity to develop professionalism. The
given job is based on Merchandise Administration Assistant Manager. In order to work in given
profile, I possess good subject knowledge, proper analysis of market to know about customer
requirement for better results. This organisation has various benefits for their employees and
staffs such as 25% discounts on products, 22 days holiday with holiday trading, assessing sample
sales. Therefore, because of these above facilities and welfare, I would like to work with such
company to enhance myself and achieve goal and objectives of business in an effective and
efficient manner.
2 Tell us about a time you worked in a group to achieve an objective (what did you do and what
was the outcome?)
When I was in college, there was a competition among different sections for business
plan. This was arranged by college faculties where number of students took part in that to present
that business plan in front of entrepreneurs and judges so that they can provide proper guidance
and help to achieve it. Here, I also took part where there were 8 members in my group and I was
appointed as team leader of that business plan which was decided by group. Firstly, we members
of team decide the business which can be implemented by us. There are number of options
available within us where I chosen business plan to be made on traditional theme based
restaurants. Being team leader of group, I assigned work to each and every members so that
objectives can be achieved. I assigned work on basis of skills and knowledge of individuals. I
have already worked in group so my team management skills is very good which helps me to
achieve goal and objectives. After, everyone worked as per assigned work and made business

plan in written and power point presentation and represented in front of entrepreneurs and
judges. This plan has liked by everyone and achieve the objectives in proper manner.
3 Tell us about a time when you identified a new approach to solve a problem (what did you do
and what was the outcome?)
While I was doing my summer internship at International Skills Society for a time period
of six months. The manager of respective organisation assigned work to me where I have to
combine and collect survey results of 250 people who provided their view about impact of
globalisation on business functions. The data has to be presented to non technical background
students. The time provided to me was of one week where I have perform all works in an
effective and efficient manner. As data has to be presented to non technical students so I present
it in technical terms then it would not be understand by groups. I planned for conducting deep
study and noted desired outcomes. This work helped for converting technical data into easily and
understandable language which can be interpreted by person. Also I prepared power point
presentation in order to present data and information into organised and structured format. I used
diagram such as pie chart, bar graphs and others that can be analysed by them without much
knowledge about subject matter. On the last day of presentation, all non technical groups were
happy and impressed by me. All of them congratulated me for successfully completing difficult
task and wished all the best for my future career and growth.
4 Tell us about a time when you had to manage a number of different priorities and complete a
number of tasks in a short amount of time (what did you do and what was the outcome?)
While I was in college, my teacher assigned me a project to be complete on topic of
multinational company of United Kingdom and their working patterns. Along with that I already
had my last semester project work where various improvements has to be made. This was very
difficult for me to priority work as I had last semester exams in next week and for that I had to
study hard for it. All of these tasks were urgent and should be done on given time period. In this
case, I decided time needed for all these tasks and decided their superiority level and made plan
to completed them. After that I had calculated time for each task and decided to perform on basis
of priority level. Firstly, I completed my old projects of last semester where improvements has to
be made for meeting college faculties requirements. Secondly, I worked on assigned project
work which was assigned to me. Lastly, I decided to study for exams in order to get good marks.

In this way, through prioritising different projects, I managed successfully to complete given task
within stipulate time period.
5 Tell us about a project you worked on that required you to persuade others to your point of
view (what did you do and what was the outcome?)
While I was in college, the assignment was given to us where I was to work with group
of 4 students and evaluate impact of nongovernmental business on society welfare. When this
project was given, my group mate decided to present given topic in written report which would
yield positive outcomes. This was followed because in previous batch student followed same
concept and attain maximum marks in class. Here, I made a plan to show one minute demo
regarding task to be executed. When I presented my opinions in front of society along with
taking help of PPT, all of them were influenced by my ideas and I was given an opportunity to
carry out work per my opinion and views.
