The following report focuses on importance of employee induction in the modern workplace.
Employee induction is the procedure of welcoming newly hired employee and helps them to get
familiar with the new role and along with the working environment of the companies. Employee
induction helps a new employee to get settled in the workplace and become familiar with their
colleagues as well (Patel, 2020). The following report demonstrated importance of employee
induction. Along with this various steps of employee induction is also being discussed in this
report. Various importance of employee induction in the modern workplace is also being

Employee induction
Employee induction is the very first step of the organisation to welcome their newly recruited
employee so that employees can feel stress free at the newly workplace. When the employees get
induction program then they also feel privileged and valuable in the organisation. Employee
induction is being done by the human resource management of the company so that at the time of
induction human resource management can provide all the necessary details about the plans
policies and working conditions of the organisation. So that newly employees do not have to face
any difficulties in the workplace. This is one of the greatest ways to meet the colleagues and have
a healthy conversation with all the colleagues to the new employee. With the help of employee
induction all the key roles and responsibilities which is being played by the new employee is
being defined (Masoud and et.al 2020). Apart from this at the time of induction the manager was

effort they have to put so that they can produce quality work to the organisation and meet all the

employees so that the chances of errors and mistakes get reduced and healthy environment will

effectively. So after holding induction employees get a better overview of the organisation and

organisation. So that they can get well versed with the working environment and also with their
colleagues. But it is very important process for the organisation because in the absence of proper
employee induction new employee will get confused with their job roles and what they have to
do whom they have to submit their work so all these things will get clear and the time of

At the time of induction employees get communicated with all the policies of safety bullying and
sexual harassment has been clearly communicated with the employees so that they do not face
any kind of harassment and partiality at the workplace (Wekhuyi, 2020). By policies and
strategies new employees will face safe at the workplace. This will also have the organisation to
prevent various incidents which may damage the image and Goodwill of the organisation.

Induction program the employee to get familiar with the new role and create a smooth transition
between business and employee so that ultimately the absenteeism and employee retention will

organisation so employees can't smoke in the property of the organisation.

This is an introductory letter which is being given by the organisation to the candidate. This letter
provides all the necessary information such as the time and place of the organisation where
employees have to arrive at the transport arrangement which is given by the organisation and the
name of their manager and mentor who will guide them what type of clothing that should wear
what are the security arrangements have been given by the organisation so everything has been
mentioned in pre employment handbook.
Primary induction
This is the first in for most face to face introduction of the HR and employee. In the primary
induction all the priorities and needs such as health and safety convenience personal details have
been collected by the HR from the new employees.
Modern workplace
Modern workplace is a popular town which is being used to describe organisations working on
the digital collaboration and using technology and various tools for working of their employees.
Modern workplace has become bus in these days but converting organisation into modern
workplace is not that simple process it’s about providing all the Technologies to the Employees
so that they can work conveniently. Modern workplace provide right tools at the place to the
Employees and enable them to work together. Apart from this at the modern workplace
employees can take the decision faster with using various available data and produce more

work quickly and it also save their valuable time. Apart from this modern workplace is safe and
secure than the old traditional workplace and it also save money of the organisation as well.
Value and importance of employee induction in modern workplace
The main objective of induction is to integrate the new employees with the company and
organisation and let them introduce with the system procedure values and overall culture of the
organisation. But employee induction is playing great role in the modern workplace. Those
organisations who is following modern workplace or providing induction to the new Employees
with the help of proper technology in most of the induction is being conducted online so that
employees can get flexibility to join the induction program (Khan and et.al 2020). Human
resources management of the organisation provides all the relevant information with the help of
technology to the new employees and provide them various training and learning opportunities as
well. Apart from this those employees who get virtual induction they also get joining on virtual
basis so that they do not have to go physically to the organisation but by staying at their home
and using various technology which is being provided them by the organisation they can fulfil
their work. Another importance of employee induction in modern workplace is that it save the
valuable time and money of the organisation and helps the organisation to increase the turnover.
With the help of virtual induction new employees also know that how they will work virtually
and by staying their home all these things will be communicate to the new employees by the
management. All the code of conduct and policies has been stated by the HR to the new
employees so that they do not commit any mistake and fraud by working in a modern culture.
