INTRODUCTION Projectmanagementisdefinedasapplicationthatconsistofmethods,processes, knowledge, skills as well as experience that is used in order to attain aims and objectives of project. Managing of project includes various processes like initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, etc. There is proper budget assigned for completing the project activities and tasks. The following report is based upon case study of “The Euro Centre” which has to be constructed in Docklands area of London. The Hughes Communications Ltd. (HCL) is involved in installing, testing and commissioning IT and communication infrastructure for “The New Euro Centre”. There are two tasks in the following report which provides detailed information about the project of installing IT facilities in meeting rooms and in a conference centre. TASK 1 Provide explanation of key characteristics of project Project management is an important task that is used for evaluating, initiating and examining the project activities and tasks(Alnaggar, and Pitt, 2019). Some of the attributes which are present within the project management are described below - This is created for managing the project work effectively and manage ease of project activities. It is important to control project activities and tasks for framing the project activities. The project work is temporary work and it consists of starting as well as managing the predefined goals for conducting the project. There are various set of demands and needs that have to be delivered within specific boundaries which are involved in completing the project work. This is rationale for managing purchase of life cycle which is present in a structured manner. All the project activities must be completed within specified tome frame and in the given budget. Stakeholder analysis Stakeholders play an important role within the management of projects. It is essential for the project manager to work effectively and meet the targets of project in decided time frame.
Success of project is very important for stakeholders as they are directly related with profit of company(COOK and MO, 2019). If the project is successful, all stakeholders will be benefited or vice versa. There are different stakeholders for any project and their interest is managed properly. The stakeholder analysis for present project is given below - StakeholdersImpact of project Investors If the project is successful, there will be direct impact on investors. When company will make profits, investors will get more rate of return. Company owner These are ones related to the leaders who are managing the company. Is project is successful then company is able to increase it's value and reputation within market. Clients and customers Organisationwillbeabletoprovidehigh qualityproductsandservicestoby accomplishingtheprojectinspecifiedtime frame. Employees These are the most benefited stakeholders due to successful projects(Grenci, and Hull, 2020). Employeesandworkersareprovided incentives and bonuses if company is making more money. Purpose of PID and provide three key items PID includes different components of project management that plays important role in foundation of various projects. It consists of different data and information which is associated with project deadline. The project manager is able to carry out various functions and activities which are involved within competing the project(Halttula, Haapasalo, and Silvola, 2020). It is very important for a project manager to analyse all the project cycle in order to manage the completion of project activities properly. The project life cycle has important role within project completion as this guides to use all the resources properly. The different stages of project life cycle are mentioned below - Initiation -It is defined as the stage of project management which is associated with a document that includes need of project. The project manager has to identify what are the various needs project management and how they will be accomplished. The project manager has to evaluate and identify the objectives of project in order to complete it in proper time. In the present scenario, project is related with construction of a new conference centre in London. There is need of installing new IT devices that will be used for increasing communication. The project initiation stage includes different aspects that are related with resources used for completing the research, time period of project and estimated budget for project. Other details which are included in the project initiation document includes analysing the stakeholder analysis(Mohammed, 2019). Stakeholders play an important role while executing any project. The main aspects of this project initiation document is that it includes time and cost for conducting all the project activities and tasks. Key staff -Any project is successful when there are plenty ofteam members who are working effectively within the project. This is very essential for the employees to be skilled and talented so that they will help inaccomplishing project activities in less time. Other focus is upon people who are skilled in IT technology and this will help to accomplish the goals in specified time. It is very important for the project manager to manage various problems like involvement of stakeholder and ineffectiveness of project workers in order to manage risk within project. There are some preventions for risk which are adopted by project manager(Rowe, 2020). For avoiding risk, it is important that all activities and tasks are managed properly.
