INTRODUCTION
Self-management is based on the ability or capability to manage or control time, priorities. It
help to recognise specific goal and objective, decide what must be done, accountable to complete
all kind of essential actions. This report will discuss about the strategic planning which may
support for individual person to recognise the current performance within organization.
Basically, this report will describe about the different strategies that will be used by team
members in order to achieve the desirable goal or objective. it will discuss about the skill,
knowledge development opportunities for evaluating both strength or weakness. This report will
describe about the SWOT analysis as tool or platform that will support for analysing internal
aspects. Afterwards, it will be produced the effective personal development plan to find out the
all essential skills which help for improving own ability. Moreover, this documentation will
describe the importance of development strategies and lifelong learning plan which will inspire
or motivate team members towards career development. However, it will identify the different
kind of higher performance strategies in the organizational goal achievements.

Research skills- This is a skill that enables individual to search for, locate, extract,
organise and evaluate and present information related to a topic.
Analytical skills- This is ability to analyse data as it has become important in profession
of management and this is why I consider it as one of my weaknesses to not have
adequate efficiency in analytical skills.
Technological knowledge- This is another important skill that is required and helpful in
growing in present professional times. I have limited knowledge of technology and this is
why it becomes my weakness.
Opportunities
Management related professions- Skills and abilities that are my strengths on the basis
of which I believe that management profession can be an opportunity for me.
Masters in management- This is also an opportunity through which one can grow and
develop in their desired career field (Křupka, Kantorová and Haile, 2018).
Threats
Increasing competition- This is a significant threat for individuals in which individuals
have to work hard in order to achieve their desired professional objective.
Requirement of technical knowledge- This is also a threat for me as technological
knowledge has become very important for professional success because of my limited
technological knowledge this is a threat.
For achieving the more success, it would be required to identify current strength and
weakness. Therefore, it will be supporting to focus on the particular skills and try to improve
themselves. Usually, I have been focused on the different kind of technique or method which

always influence or motivate to examine the specific needs. That’s why, I have tried to adopt the
best method to improve own skills (Caldera, Deshaand Dawes, 2019). Sometimes, an effective
plan was made by me to eliminate or convert into greatest strength. I have always tried to
motivate with innovative idea which help for me to develop the inspiration to gain more idea and
then trying to implement within organization growth or development.
Each and every planning should depend on the current situation or condition of
organization because it has been continuously changing the perception of individual people
towards growth and development (Alatailat, Elrehailand Emeagwali, 2019). That’s why, I have
being change own ability on the basis of needs. Nowadays, it is mainly focused on the
communication skills which participate as major role to engage with one or more people. I have
focused on developing suitable PDP plan to find out all essential skills and then use different
technique. Afterwards, it will improve in step by step manner.

For career development there is requirement in individual of having effective skills and
knowledge. Without having skills and knowledge, people cannot develop career. Rather career
development, skills and lifelong learning can help people in taking advantages of several external
opportunities and growing professionally. Skills and knowledge plays a vital role in both
personal and professional life and it can only be possible when people make use of effective
strategies (Forret, 2018). So, it can be said that career development strategies play a vital role in
increasing skills and also providing several advantages to people in the future and in their
professional life. There are some common and effective strategies that can help individuals in
increasing skills and knowledge for developing career, taking advantages of employment and
others.
Strategies for increasing skills for career development
There are several strategies such as proper training relevant to professional, practical practice,
jobs and others can help people in increasing skills and knowledge among people for their career
development. It is important for people to become aware from all these strategies because it can
change their life as it does not only help them out in career development but also can help them
out in living stressed free life, improving performance. Improved performance can boost

provides clarity of their goals that they want to achieve along with right direction with that help
they can accomplish goals in an effective manner (Huda, 2019). These strategies can help them
out in reducing errors and boosting confidence. With boosted confidence they can get
employment opportunities that they want to get. It also increases self motivation among them as
self motivation can help individuals in career development and become successful in the future.
There are several strategies that can help individuals in increasing career development by
increasing skills and knowledge. SWOT analysis and personal development plan are known as
effective and better strategies of career development.

In addition, in regards to importance of strategies for increasing skills for career development it
can be said that it can make people flexible or able to adapt changes. In this competitive and
digital era it is important for individuals to adapt changes for being in the competition without
getting affected in a negative manner. Strategies of career development like training, experience
that people can get from job and practical practice, they can make themselves able to change
their behaviours, become polite, become proactive rather reactive (Al-sharafi, Hassan and Alam,
2018). These changes they can get only from training as it develops their mind. These changes in
behaviours also makes individual able to think positively, remaining calm in difficult situation
and rather reacting, thinking about strategies that can help them out in come out from these
situations. Companies can also make use of all threes strategies like training, group tasks and
others. These can increase knowledge of their employees that can increase overall performance
and can make them able to stay with the company for the long run. It is beneficial for both
employees and employers (Oertle and O’Leary, 2017). There are several other strategies that
people and companies may use for increasing skills for career development of their employees.

identify skills that are required to be developed by them. On the basis of results they can also
identify future opportunities and threats and accordingly they can make changes in strategies.
Personal development plan: After identifying own strengths and weaknesses it is

can develop skills. So, overall it can be said that after SWOT analysis, PDP can help individual
in increasing skills and developing career.

I completely agree that company must measure performance of employees so that weak area are
identified and it is improved. This also helps in finding out what is current performance level of
individual and how it can be improved. Besides that, current skills and abilities are analysed
and then accordingly goals are set. Basically, performance is measured on certain criteria in
which goals and objective are also included. This gives insight on what needs to be developed
and why. Moreover, if goals are not set then it becomes difficult to measure
performance(ZHANG, 2018). The goals are basically skills and capabilities which needto be
enhanced. Thus, by developing required skills performance is increased and high performed
people are developed. Hence, performance management is best way as well as method to
measure and evaluate performance.
Besides that, it is continuous process as performance varies with development of skills
and abilities. Thus, on basis of new goals planning is done that how it can be enhanced. When
the evaluation is done than on basis of that weak areas are identified. Then, plan is developed
that how those areas can be improved. So, with help of this process it becomes easy to strengthen
all those area which require improvement. In this way high performance people are developed.
Besides that, it allows in maintaining progress as well of how much development is required and
by reviewing entire performance decision is taken. Moreover, feedback is also taken as well
through different ways such as 360 degree review, smart objectives, etc. with that information is

Similarly, by improving one area then other one is enhanced. This is done in systematic way
which helps in improving overall staff performance. Besides that, main purpose of PM is to
ensure that whether skill is developed or not. Then, further progress is done to allow abilities to
be improved. The goal set in performance management allows employees to perform best out of
their abilities and increasing their efficiency in productivity. The high performance teams are
developed when all people in it perform their best to achieve goals.
Continuous Performance management aids within reviewing performance through comparing it
with set goals. Therefore if tasks are not attained then changes are made into it. Thus the main

Here I am not fully agree that without the performance management the individual’s high
performance cannot developed. As it is will be hard to focuses on the weak areas as well as

how much extent abilities can be increased. For such it needs to measure performance as well as
take consistent feedback and can be useful within evaluates the people’s effectiveness. Thus

a framework that how people abilities as well as skills requires to be announced. Therefore by
the help of the performance management it can be recognised the individual’s weak area as well
