INTRODUCTION
The report is about managing of the self and other. The report discuss about the career
development and lifelong learning of an individual for the career development. Swot analysis is
done and the personal development plan is made in accordance with the analysis. The concept of
the career development strategies in the development of the employee’s skills and career is
discussed in the report. The development of the high performance people with the help of
performance management of the organisation is discussed. The high performance strategies are
evaluated for understanding how they help in the effect working of the individual as a part of
team.
Question 1 - Career Development and Lifelong Learning
a. Individual PDP
Swot analysis is done getting clear about the strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats.
The weaknesses thus identified will help in developing a plan for the current and the future
development. A personal development plan help in giving a direction of hat needs to be done. It
is the process of creating an action plan that is based upon the values, reflection, awareness and
development is done within the context of career.It provides a clear path and help in motivating
for moving further. PDP help in achieving the goals (Zacherand et.al, 2019). The plan also
provide with the
SWOT Analysis
Strengths- Good communication skills, organisation skills, have ability to work underpressure,
negotiation skills, and motivation skills are the strengths. I have good time management skills,
good at solving problems, better at taking initiatives and have computer as well as technology
skills. Fairly handle issues. When challenges are given I tend to be optimistic. Have the ability to
pick up new skills with ease.
Weaknesses- Alittle bit emotional, can get stressed out easily, impatient, perfectionist, stubborn
and look shy infront of a group of people can be considered weakness that can affect the better
opportunities for me.
Opportunities- Can increase the chance in the career by networking;can receive job offers
through personal connections, can undertake courses for the development in the career, the
portfolio can be improved with the experiences and working and have an opportunity to get

assisted by the professors at the university and get personalised teaching on details. Have the
ability to deal with the obstacles (Vlados, 2019).
Threats- Increased competition in the interested field of career and the ever changing
technology, the advancement in the technology can let the technological skills of me of less
importance. People in the same field that have greater and efficient skills for the work can be a
threat. Falling behind in completing the task due to the continuously being perfectionist.
