INTRODUCTION
In perspective of individual, development and growth are important for achieving
success. Self-development is defined as process of learning new skills, accessing
knowledge and improving weak areas (Bryant, 2019). Main aim of this report is to examine
how to manage self-development so that learners are able to achieve their personal goals
in respect of professional development. Amazon, a multinational corporation which is and
e -commerce company headquartered in U.S. The firm deals in cloud computing, artificial
intelligence, digital streaming etc. It is being considered as one of the leading e-commerce
firm across the globe. This report comprises of continuous professional development
process, own values, career & personal goals, understanding plan development and
monitor & evaluate development activities.
MAIN BODY
Continuous professional development is defined as process of training &
developing professional knowledge & skills through effective learning in continuous
process (Magolda, 2020). CPD helps in continuous ensuring capabilities to maintain speed
in the same field. In reference with Amazon, they focus on CPD through which they are
able to improve and enhance team performance in most efficient manner.
1. Understand how Continuous Professional Development (CPD) influences personal
effectiveness
1.1Evaluate the role of CPD in organisations
The role of Continuous Professional Development is essential as it provides
opportunity to improve the skills as well as knowledge at higher level. In relevance with
Amazon, they have Career Choice Program in which they are able to provide new learning
in various fields like aircraft mechanics, computer aided design, information technology
etc. Through these tuition programmes firm is able to provide knowledge to every
employed individual in proper way. Main role of CPD within enterprise is to enhance the
efficiency level & to develop the skills related area.
Role of CPD is to make individual learning wider and broader so that they are able
to achieve their skills properly.
Also, another role is to act as motivational process so that learner is able to expand
their development of new thoughts and ideas.
1.2 Analyse the influence of CPD on individuals
In perspective of individual, CPD have a deep impact on individual as because it
mainly concerned with self-development to improve the weak areas of every person. It
influences the individual in many ways which are discussed below-
Increases public confidence- By focusing on continuous professional
development, individual are able to increase their public confidence which is
beneficial in their professional career. This is because it helps them to deal with
people in both professional or personal way.
Maintain speed of learning- Through this, individual is able to analyse as well as
manage pace of knowledge & skills which is essential for development. Moreover, it
is beneficial for every person to maintain the speed with current standards as it
assists them in achieving of objectives.

Awareness- By accessing CPD, individual become aware about their self-
development goals, abilities, skills which they can use in their both professional and
personal goals.
1.3 Evaluate the effectiveness of different forms of continuous professional
development.
The effectiveness of continuous professional development is necessary to
analysed so that process and procedures are carried out in correct way. There are
different forms of CPD which are focused by every enterprise for professional development
which are discussed below-
CPD as individuals-
It plays crucial role and have effect on individual as it helps them to contribute
towards their quality of life by accessing deep learning and continuous improvement. As
individual, they enhance their effectiveness at workplace & get motivated more towards
their role as well as profession (Van Deur, 2017).
As learning-
CPD is concerned with personal learning needs & is often viewed as gap feeling. It
mostly focused on moving on concept of a particular parson. As learning concept, they
provide career development which is required at every aspect of accessing higher growth.
In context of chosen entity, they focus on learning of a person get developed in every
specific field (Paul, 2019).
According to VAK learning style learning is done through three ways which are discussed
below-
Visual- It is way through which learning is done through different types of visual
forms such as pictures, diagrams or charts.
Auditory- In this learning is done via listening to others. It also of many forms such
as hearing, listening, etc.
Kinesthetic- In this, learning of individual is done through experiencing the
physical experience such as hand on approach to feel object or thing.
2. Understand own values, career and personal goals in relation to a work role and
professionalism
Own values are essential for every personal as they are linked with career and
personal goals. It is important for every person to be aware about the value and personal
goals because they provide a vision for life. As an individual I have my own values like
creativity, courage determination which is being focused by me. My own career goals are
to gain new skills and become expert in my digital marketing field. Whereas my personal
goal is to develop self-confidence so that I can deal with new people and to improve my
body language. Values are essential part of my life because they depicts my behaviour,
culture, religion. So, first most values are working in ethical way, not working mixing
personal & professional relationship. Through managing these values assist me in
development my objectives. Personal goals are important in everyone life as without
them it is not possible to apply knowledge or skills in proper way. Therefore, my personal
goals such as developing self confidence is my first priority. Through accomplishing this
goal, it is easy for met to achieve other objectives too. Career- It is essential to have a
deep focus on career so that it is easy to make decisions in life.
As currently I am working as PPC associate in Amazon, I focused on work role
