TOPIC OF THE RESEARCH - “To analyse the impact of globalisation onbusiness activity of the organisation.” A case study of Amazon. Introduction Globalisation is defined as the free movement of goods, people, products and servicesaround different countries. This is defined as the changes that occur in an organisation when itexpands it's business in other countries. The globalisation of business is the change of businessfrom a company that is related to single country that operates in multiple countries (AlejandraGonzalez-Perez, 2013). There is basically two types of impact of globalisation on business i.e.market globalisation and production globalisation. There are different benefits of globalisation tothe development of business. In context of Amazon, it is an American multinational corporationtechnology company that was started by Jeff Bezos in the year 1994. This company deals withonline delivery of different products in market. Also this company is involved in distributing andstreaming of videos, audiobooks, music, through its Amazon Prime video, Amazon music andAudible subsidiary. This company is a great example of how globalisation can help anorganisation to increase the sales as well as market share. Aim of the research The aim of the following research is “To analyse the impact of globalisation on businessactivity of the organisation”. A case study of Amazon. Objective of the research To determine the concept of globalisationTo understand the need of globalisation in increasing sales of the company To analyse the barriers faced at global levelTo determine the need of company to be globalised To provide recommendations for a company to be effective at global level. Research Questions What do you mean by the concept of globalisation ?What is the need of globalisation for increasing sales of the company ?What are the barriers faced by Human resource department on at global level ?

Rationale of the research This research is conducted for analysing the impact of globalisation on businessperformance (Beh, and Loo, 2013). Globalisation has become an important part of the growthand success of business and that is why this research will be useful for understanding theconcept of globalisation in context of Amazon. In context of Amazon, the various factors of projectmanagement plan are described below- Cost- Cost is defined as the amount which is required for doing any project orbusiness activity. Every department of the organisation needs money or funds to perform allbusiness activities. The estimated budget for Amazon's project is around £15000.Scope- This is defined as another element that is defined as opportunities that arewith an organisation and these help it to grow and develop in business environment. In thefollowing research it is concluded that scope of this project is wide in context of it's topic i.e.globalisation. Time- Time is required for estimating the time which is required for completing theproject work (Cullen, and Parboteeah, 2013). In context of Amazon it want to analyse theimpact of globalisation on business activity and there should be a proper frame work foranalysing it. The time required for this project is around 3 months. Quality- The research conducted must have quality data so latest techniques andtools are to be used for conducting the research (Appel, Franz, and Hassler, 2014). Theinvestigator should conduct an effective research which is a quality research. Communication- There must be good communication among what project managerand the other team members involved in completing the project work. An effectivecommunication is needed for achieving the targets of projects in an appropriate manner. Risks- There are a lot of chances in which risk can be there in conducting anyresearch. The investigator has to make effective plan for avoiding and handling risk of theproject. The various risks involved in a project are accuracy of data, miscommunication, lessperiod of time etc. Resources- The resources required in carrying a research are information fromreports, secondary data and for completing this project, financial, human, operations etc.Some other resources required for effective completion of project includes fund, manpower,resources, communication technologies etc. It is the responsibility of researcher to utiliseresources effectively.

Literature review Concept of globalisation According to the view point of Axelrod, and VanDeveer,eds., (2014), globalisation is aprocess by which business and other organisation starts working at an international scale bydeveloping international influences. Globalisation removed the boundary barriers and providesrapid integration and interconnection between all the countries as a result more and more goodsand services are moving easily across the world. According to the viewpoint of Krugman, (2017), Globalisation has resulted in highcompetition which benefits the consumer (both rich and poor)as poor are getting improvedquality at lower prices and rich are enjoying a higher living standard with greater choice andalso it facilitates reach to different branded products. Globalisation also increase the scope fornew ideas and creating many opportunities particularly for service and IT sector. It is concludedthat it is important for every company to provide quality products and services while working atglobal level as this helps in increasing organisational value as well as sales of the company. It isseen in Amazon that they have to do a proper research for meeting goals and objectives ofcompany in specified time frame. For better results in productivity and efficiency of thecompany it is essential that Amazon must work properly. Need of globalisation in increasing sales of the company According to the view point of Bailey and et al., (2018), Globalisation is helpful inintegrating world economy, which results in easy transfer of goods and services across differentcountries. It decreases control over the international sale and purchase of goods whichultimately reduces number of rules and regulation and making world an open market. As per the thoughts of Hopper, Lassou, and Soobaroyen,( 2017), Globalisation providenew larger market which helps in increasing demand and ultimately increased sales of thecompany. Globalisation increases customer as well as provide cheap labour and other facilitieswhich reduce the cost of production and maximize the profit of the company. For a globalcompany like Amazon it is important that they should know and analyse market of differentcountries it is operating. This helps in impressing more number of customers and providing them
