Topic: Equality and Diversity
INTRODUCTION
The concept of diversity as well as equality has become a major component for
organisations operating in different industries in order to be successful. Equality in the workplace
can be defined as treating employees fairly and equally regardless of their age, gender, religion
etc. Diversity in the workplace, on the other hand can be referred to an organisation where
individuals belonging to different backgrounds and culture work together. It is important for an
organisation to make sure that the employees within the workplace do not feel discriminated and
are comfortable in working with each other. Organisation chosen for this report is Tesco, which
is a multinational retailer of groceries and general merchandise (Bass and Haxby, A., 2019). The
company was founded by Jack Cohen and is headquartered in Welwyn Garden City, UK. Tesco
has been chosen for this report because it has been facing issues with equality and diversity and
therefore relates with the topic. The report explains the scope, cost, resource, quality, risk, and
time for the research. It also explains a Gantt chart as well as a work breakdown structure in
order to provide an understanding about the time frame as well as stages for completion.

Rationale behind aim and objectives
The rationale behind aim and objectives of this research is to understand the importance
of equality and diversity and its influence on the overall productivity levels of the workforce
within the workplace (Pramanik, Mondal and Haldar, 2020). Another reason behind objectives of
the research is to determine strategies that can help the organisation in overcoming challenges
that may arise due to lack of equality and diversity at the workplace.
P2 Prepare a Project Management Plan that covers various aspects like cost, scope,
communication, resources and risk
Project management plan is considered as systemic plan which outline how a specific project
will be done and monitor for attaining desire goal. It is also considered approach which
adopted by a project team in order to conduct project properly for attaining its proper or
desire outcome (Gozali and et. al., 2020). This can be developed by any person who are
involving in the specific project as that will also aid in communicating information which
need to undertaken for accomplishment of project. There are several aspects which need to
consider while formulating this kind of plan. The same are explained below -
Cost
It is considered as fund which is needed in order to complete a
research in an effective manner. So it is essential that investor have
proper fund for conducting business properly. In context to this
research, the estimated cost of the project is £100 so that the research
is completed efficiently without any problems.
Scope
It is considered as method through which researcher may understand
effectiveness of conducting research in a specific topic. For this
research, the scope is to make sure that the project is completed
effectively and the concept of equality and diversity is implemented
in the workplace effectively. Also, that challenges are overcome.
Quality
This factor is determined as quality of work that is adopted by the
researcher for attaining desire outcome of research. In order to
develop high quality projects a researcher need to gather authenticate
as well as reliable information (Helmold and et. al., 2020). In context
of respective investigation, investigator trains their members as that
will help them in performing their allotted task effectively which help

in gathering quality data.
Time
It is considered as time duration that is required by the investigator
for gathering proper information for accomplishing project in
impressive way. For accomplishment of this research project,
investigator needs to have 4 weeks so that they work properly for
attaining desire outcome.
Communication
According to this factor it is essential for investigator to adopt proper
strategies so that they can communicate information about the
research in appropriate way (Pollard, 2019). In context of this project,
researcher will conduct meeting with all employees for
communicating information related to project as well as they will
also display information on notice board.
Risk
It is determine as risk which is experienced by a researcher while
conducting specific project that may also impact on the outcome of
project (Issa, 2020). In respect of this project, risk which may arise
are related to lack of funds, under experienced members of team,
audiences are not respond properly and so on.
Resource
It is considered as resources that are required by researcher for doing
research work properly for the attainment of desire outcome properly.
In context of this investigation researcher need several resources such
as funds, skilled team members, stationary products, time duration
and so on.
P3 Prepare a WBS and Gantt Chart to explain time frames and stages of the project
It is determined as method that is implemented by a researcher for isolating whole assignment
into the small section so that team members will conduct work in effective way and attain
their desire goal. This is also considered as primary project deliverable that helps in
organizing the task of team into a convenient section or aspect so that desire goal can be
attaining successfully (Onyusheva, Thammashote and Thongaim, 2020). By conducting
breakdown of work a project management as well as their team conduct work properly
and ensure every task is conducted properly.
