INTRODUCTION
Globalisation refers to the process where government, individuals as well as business
entities interact with others all over the world. Along with this, it has been identified that with
the help of globalisation, companies can modify their working activities according to the demand
of individuals in the international marketplace (Crane and Matten, 2016). Various functions of a
company get influenced by the process of globalisation which affect the success of an
organisation. In the present report, TESCO is chosen as the base company. It is a British
multinational company deals in groceries as well as in general merchandise. Its headquarter is
located in Hertfordshire, UK and was founded in the year 1919 by Jack Cohen. Main aim behind
conducting this research is to examine and analyse the positive ethical, economic and cultural
impacts of globalisation on the marketing department of TESCO.
Positive impact of Globalisation in the market of UK:
 Cultural Impact: When a company decides to operates its business function at
worldwide level, it will assist in developing employment opportunities to the people
belong to different educational background. As a result, it will create diversity at the
organisation which will aid in developing creative products and services. Hence,
company will be able to provide creative and innovative products and services to their
customers.
 Economic Impact: With the help of globalisation, company get numerous advantages
which helps in increasing the productivity at international marketplace. By transferring

multinational company and direct its business functions in about 11 countries. Main aim behind
conducting this research is to experience the impact of economic, cultural and ethical factor on
the marketing function of TESCO (Idowu and et. al., 2013). It has been identified that company
is providing its goods and services at global level which highly affect the marketing function
along with other operational function. For this, company hire an investigator who has formulated

company and enhance the profitability along with market share of the organisation. Along
with this, it has been determined that ample number of factors are there which includes
economical, ethical and cultural. All the three elements influence the functions and
operations of a business entity. In addition to this, it has been identified that marketing
functionality of an organisation affected with all these factors as it becomes difficult for the
management team to control and manage their activities at international marketplace.

 Along with this, it has been recommended to the marketing team of TESCO there
they must use advance tools and technologies in order to influence large number of
customers towards their organisation. For this, marketing team adopt social media,
coupons and discounts methods and so on. This as a result enhance the overall profit
margin of the company at the competitive marketplace.
 Apart from this, after conducting this research it has been recommended to the
researcher that in future if there would be any kind of research which is based on the
same topic I will do it with more accuracy and authenticity. Reason behind this is
that I have enough knowledge about this topic which assist me in future for
completing the research effectively.
 In has also been said that, Human resource manager of TESCO need to use various
tools and techniques so that they can provide regular training sessions to their
employees effectively. With the help of effective training sessions staff members of
the company will be able to perform their task within stipulated time frame.
 Apart from this, it has been suggested to the researcher that they should adopt
effective tool with the help of which they can gather authentic and accurate data. All
these information and data will assist in performing their task on a specific topic.
Apart from this researcher will be able to enhance its skill and knowledge which
provide them assistance in near future.

Reflection
From my whole journey of the investigation, it has been observed by me that there
are some factors of globalisation which highly influence the functioning of TESCO at
international level. At the time of conducting this research, I have faced various positive as

well as negative situations while completing this research in an effective manner. It has been
identified that my communication skills is not effective. I was unable to communicate with
others as I feel very nervous and less confident. While conducting this research in an
effective, I have use primary method for collecting data where I need to interact with others.
Therefore, with the help of this my communication skills might enhance and aid me in my
near future. When I have opt questionnaire method for collecting data, I have faced lot of
negative response from individuals as they consider it a time consuming process. For
collecting information effectively, I have collected information from ample number of
peoples and this will aid me in enhancing my knowledge which is related with a particular
topic. Therefore, I have successfully completed my research and generate best possible
result for TESCO which will help them in order to understand the impact of various
elements of globalisation on marketing function of the company.
With the help of this research I have enhanced my communication skill, time
management skill and research skill which will assist me in near future while conducting
other research in the same field. Along with this, communication and time management skill
help me in both personal as well as professional life and provide me various opportunities in
my near future.
CONCLUSION

companies can easily transfer their goods and services across the country border. It has also
been examined that in the present report, investigator use both primary as well as secondary
method for collecting information. It has been known that there are various factors of
globalisation which highly affect the activities and functions of business organisation. In the
current report, an effective project management plan is prepared with the assistance of
which researcher can easily attain their goals and objectives within specific period of time
and in effective manner. Apart from this, questionnaire method is used by researcher where
they collect data from 30 respondents, so that they can find reliable and accurate data on a
specific topic.
