Digital Technology can be defined in two states: Positive and non-positive. Former is
represented as 1 and later by number 0. In this electronic transmission are limited to analog
technology, which transmit electronic signals on different frequency. Telecommunications can
be the best example that relied on digital method of transmitting their messages. Compared to
previous times communicating with other people was so difficult but now anybody in any corner
of the world can communicate with each other (Eckerson, 2010). It was in early 1980s, the use of
fibre optics was discovered which enhance digital communication networks. This has provided
number of benefits to organisation in their business growth. Enterprise can store huge files and
data for long period of time otherwise they had to maintain a coper sheet for storing their data.
This assist managers in decision making. Victorinox is one of the leading brand of watches,
company is using digital technologies in their watches which has made life more easier. They
fulfil their customer's needs and posting their adds in social media, televisions, newspapers and
magazine etc. In this report aims and objectives of Victorinox is mentioned and how they are
utilising it in their firms.

P1 Aims and objectives of Project
In today's business scenario rapid change can be seen. It is changing in a rapid speed,
company has to work according to the needs and wants of customers so as to generate more
revenues and large profits. It is very important to upgrade their tools according to present time in
order to serve to their buyers. Technology has transformed the whole business completely. The
biggest advantage of this is that large amount of information can be access through this in just
one click (Crane and Matten, 2016). To know any brief about the products they can easily go to
internet and search the related commodity and lot of knowledge regarding that is provided. This
has made business more easier and contributed towards the growth of business. Platform for
technology has broaden among business operations they can visit sites like Facebook, twitter and
YouTube, they have became the bridge between different companies. They have reached to more
number of customers. Technology ensure that good quality products are given to their customers
which is very fast in process. Thus, we can say that business is affected in a positive way by the
use of digital technology.

Victorinox company is developing effective plans and policies to achieve decided goals
and aims of organisation. This will help them in going in taking their enterprise into a right
direction and in a effective manner without which they cannot attain the set targets. This works
as a biggest advantage and give long term benefits to enterprise (Smith, Binns and Tushman,
2010). Main objective of project management is to ensure that their task is finished in related
time. Hence, the role of project management team is to make relative plans for successful
outcomes. It is necessary to include various factors in company for growth:
Scope of project: Technological advancement has benefited business enterprise in every
manner. Earlier it was very difficult to finish work on time but now it can happen with just one
click. It has increased opportunities of job because organisation need qualified workers who are
very efficient in doing such kind of work. Using new tools and technologies now they can
increase their manufacturing speed better with maximum amount of products.
Management of risk: In every business there is a risk of loosing their position and for
that company should implement different factors. Management take care of various risk factors
and use those paths from which, if not eliminated than they can minimize the risk factor. The are
the one who calculate the risk (Den Hertog, Van der and De Jong, 2010).
Quality control: Products must be qualitative in nature as it is very essential to grow
their business in forward direction. Mangers are the one who check and maintain superior

commodity with the use of effective factors. Victorinox provides their customer with goods
quality merchandise watches to its customers so as to maintain a healthy environment between
them which will increase their growth and profitability.
Cost: This is the basic factor which consumer see before buying any products. If the
price will higher than buyers will have to spend more money or funds. So, it is prime
responsibility of managers to arrange cost by using different tools and techniques. Victorinox is a
renowned company with large number of customers and buyers are buying their products as
price is suiting them (Chesbrough, 2010). They have efficient amount of funds to manufacture
more products.
Time: This is another factor which is responsible for running business successfully. Lot
of time will be consumed in completing this project so it is important to manage time
accordingly and managers help them in doing so. The rate of cost will be decreased if they
achieve their targets on time and output will be more specific and accurate.
Communication: communication is the basic need for expansing their business. It is
very necessary to communicate with each other so as to establish a better environment between
departments and organisation. It will help them in executing their projects on time (Ahmed Dine
Rabeh, Jimenez-Jimenez and Martínez-Costa, 2013). If employees know about the aims and
objectives of any project than it will be easier for enterprise in achieving that goals.

Company have conduct research for support top level management for taking decision
related to expansion of business operations and markets. Researcher have make blue print of
action plan, that provide help for preparing research action plan, this provide guideline to
researcher and ensure done all activities on time. Researcher have collecting data's for prepare
research report. Some main step those include in research are as follow:

Research is a systematic process of collecting data and information interpreted them and
make report that provide help to management in decision. Research are conducted for solving
predetermine question for making valid and meaning full conclusion. Many approaches can be
use to draw a result in research, researcher use analytical tool for study. In research the primary
work of researcher are to collect reliant data's, many methods are available to collecting data's . It
very imported that researcher choose right kind of data's. Data collection method have mostly
two types one is primary data's and second is secondary data's (Trimi and Berbegal-Mirabent,
2012). Many company are use both mode of collecting data's because is help out to gather
information from very mode and show reliability and accuracy in result report that help out to
management in taking right decision. Generally research method have three categories:
 Qualitative
 Quantitative
 Analytical
In most of the researcher are use qualitative and qualitative method of research.
Qualitative research method : in this method researcher have collecting data's from
society. This type of research have called social science research. In this research have
researcher have learn consumer behaviour to satisfy their question. Researcher have use some

modes to conduct research are direct observation, oral history, open ended survey, in depth
interviews, participant observation, focus group,content analysis etc. (Smith, 2011).
Qualitative research methods : In this method researcher have collecting, interpreting
and analysing the data's. In this method research have collecting samples from population. Some
important element of this method are research design, choice of data's collection instrument,
choice of analytical tools etc.
Firstly researcher have collecting data's from population with appropriate data collecting
techniques, primary data collection method and secondary data collection method.
Secondary data collection method : In this method researcher have use already
concluded information. Concluded information mean the research have already conduct by some
on ales. Most commonly use secondary data collecting source are books, magazine, newspaper,
trad journals and varies publish and non-publish information.
Primary data collection method : in this data collection method researcher have
collected data at first hand source. The researcher have find up to date data and make conclusion
that help out management taking right and appropriate decision. Some important method of
collecting primary data are observation, interview, questionnaire, schedules etc. (Jones, and
Lubinski, 2012). many company have use questionnaire method for collecting primary data's,
this researcher frame question and give option like agree, strongly agree, disagree, strongly
disagree.
Case study one : Victorinox company have to focus on innovation and inventions for
taking competitive advantages at market that increase market share of the company. Victorinox
want to use continues innovation process to full fill their need. An organisation mission are to
achieve hug market share to increase profitability of company.
Case study two : Victorinox manufacture middle range product, only high class people
are afford this kind of expensive product, so that company have low market share. Victorinox
want to produce lower range of product to approach every level class people, that process
increase profitability of firm and high market share in industry. Company want to use social
media platform to promote their product.

Already Victorinox is a well popular and brand which is effective so organisation does
not implement many variations in its present organisation process for achieving a set goals and
objectives. Expanding a business operations with a help of technology. It is a very important that
all techniques and resources must use by a organisation effectively. Utilization of resources
effectively ensure business operations execution in a proper manner and at a same time gives
various types of benefits to a organisation. Victorinox organisation process at present is very
effective and organisation does not want to do huge numbers of changes in a management
process. But to achieve the objectives which is covered by a individual middle class organisation
require attention to a process of production (Incelli, 2013). Order to achieve a target and a set
goals it is important that their should be a proper communication among all the enterprise
departments. Organisation use for new techniques and methods like cloud technology which help
in transferring of data from one place to another in a very few time. Benefit of using a cloud
technology is that it eliminates the chances of hacking and enterprise help to keep a important
information confidential. This way Victorinox help in expanding their business operations in a
very effective way.
TASK 4
P7 Reflection on understanding research to meet objectives and performance
Doing a research researcher go through many difficulties and issues related to the task,
most of the time they deflect problems in their plans so that they can advance their work. To
avoid mistakes they should formulate a written plan in order maintain sequences and same order
of their task they also have to cope up with time limit which is very important (Kankaanranta and
Planken, 2010). During enforcement of this project I faced number of issues which is time
management and cost efficiency which was allotted to me while conduction of my research.
Because of time barrier I found it very difficult to conduct and collecting sample from large
number and I have to take small sample of only 20 respondents. Money was the biggest
disadvantage during my research because fund which is allocated to me was not enough
according to me and I have to spend money from my pocket as well. These were the main hurdle
which I faced while going through the report and I used different mediums to overcome with the

problems. Proper plan of time management was made and use of money was decreased.
Different social platform help me in collecting large amount of data in limited period of time. I
gave my best in utilizing all related resources which was available to me in my knowledge so
that a valid conclusion can be made.
CONCLUSION
From the above report we can conclude that digital tools and techniques has quicken
transmission speed that is a big aid to technology. Fibre optics are used in place of regular wires
which has enhance the work of company. Digitalization has successfully converted information
into digital method in terms of number 0 and 1 which is known as binary functions. Company's
are using specific tools and technologies for the betterment of organisation. In this report we get
to know about the views of respondents regarding digital technology and they are very happy
using various technologies. If they want any information regarding any work than they can easily
access to internet for contents. Through this virtual world they can easily have face to face
interactions and conversations without presence of that individual physically. There will be loss
of quality every time when it is copied or transmitted in analog data. Digitalization can be used
as texting somebody, sharing images or videos in single binary. Using digital technology has
given accurate information about anything which is related to business.
