INTRODUCTION
Digital technology has transformed whole working pattern of business organisations. It
has simplified work of employees and also helped them in executing their innovative ideas in
business operation which is profitable for company. Mobile technology is a part digital
technology which is used by most of organisation who are operating their business either at large
or small level. This assignment is based on Quantum Technology which provides marketing
services to technology companies in UK. The report contains study of specific aims and
objectives of the project to develop which project management plan is formulated (Farman,
2013). It also elaborates about different methods of data collection which helps in finding out
appropriate conclusion.

Aims and Objectives of the project
Digital technology has dramatically changed the working structures and system in
commercial sector which is beneficial for both small and large scale organisations. Mobile
technology refers to the part of advance technology which is used to communicate with people in
order to operate business operation in organisation. It has completely changed working scenario
of an organisation as employers can easily communicate with their employees in less time
duration. In context to Quantum Technology, mobile technology is helpful for this company as it
supports them in communicating with its clients effectively. And also helps expanding their
business beyond their geographical boundaries.

Background of project
Present project elaborates how mobile technology helps Quantum Technology in
connecting to its customers and expanding their business across the globe. Quantum technology
was established in 1998 that provides marketing services to IT companies of United Kingdom.
This firm conducts various seminar and events in order to promote products of its client
companies. Mobile technology helps this company in communicating with their clients in order
to understand their services effectively which helps in popularising client’s products among
targeted audience (What is Mobile Technology. 2018).

Project management plan refers to the formal document which describes how whole
project is going to be implemented, its cost, future scope, required time and risky factors.
Quantum Technology is using mobile technology as it helps in executed all of their marketing
strategy with the clients (Coiro and et. al., 2014). Project management plan for this company is
described below with its most essential factors:
 Cost: Quantum technology is having formulated appropriate budget for using mobile
technology in their business operation which enhances effectiveness of its services. This
company have used £10K for implementing mobile technology in their business
operation.

 Scope: Implementation of mobile technology have enhanced scope for Quantum
technology as it improves working pattern of its employees (Maurer, 2012). Along with
this, it can help company in delivering their marketing services to various sectors to like
education, health, food and beverages etc. It will increase profitability of the company
and enhance quality of its services. Time: It is a time consuming process for implementing mobile technology completely in
Quantum technology. It can be said that it will take approx. 3-4 months for executing it
effectively. As more than implementation, it is required to train whole staff of the
company so that they can use it properly and perform their work more effectively. Risk: Even though mobile technology is helpful for Quantum technology but it also
contains risk with it. As information and details stored in mobile are not secure, they can
get lost at any point of time (Ertmer, and et. al., 2012). Along with this, details can be
misused by any of the internal employee or hacker. This may also not secure confidential
information of clients. Quality: Project management plan of Quantum Technology includes the quality measures
in order to use mobile technology at work place. Mobile technology is advanced version
of the digital technology which has transformed working pattern of employees. This
directly improve satisfaction level of its customers which will also improve monetary
benefit of the company. Quantum technology has considered the mobile technology for
the purpose of increasing efficiencies and productivity of the firm. Project manager
required to ensure about effective adoption of such technology in quality manner. In this,
manager set a particular standard of project that must be achieved with better quality so
that predetermined goals can be attained. Resources: Project management plan for Quantum Technology also includes several
resources which are required to execute mobile technology in the company. For this, it
requires proper funding to implement this technology as it is small organisation.
Quantum Technology also requires IT developers, trainers, funds and latest equipment
for implementing mobile technology.

 Communication: It is required by Quantum Technology to communicate with its
employees effectively that help employees in understanding benefits and utilisation of
mobile technology. Along with this, management of this company provides liberty to
employees so that they can discuss problem with colleagues (Forsgren and Johansson,
2014). Top management of the company will communicate with its employees through
conducting formal meeting. In this meeting, all strategy related with mobile technology
will be discussed with employees.
Work breakdown structure and Gantt chart
Work breakdown structure: It is considered as the process which helps organisation in
simplifying complex projects by dividing whole task in small chunks of work. This makes work
easier and also supports in finishing targeted task effectively. In context to Quantum technology,
Work breakdown structure is essential for implementing mobile technology effectively in the
company. As it helps in estimating actual cost, time, resource and risk appropriately.
Gantt chart: It is the horizontal representation in graph which helps to do planning,
coordinating and monitoring particular task of the project. Gantt chart was introduced by Henry

L. Gantt in 1917 for the purpose of controlling production in the organisation. In relation with
Quantum technology, Gantt chart will help the firm in monitoring various task which are
assigned to employees for the purpose of implementing mobile technology.

Small scale research by applying qualitative and quantitative research
Quantum technology have conducted research in order to understand the importance of
mobile technology and its uses in organisation. This company is opting mobile technology for
enhancing work efficiency of manpower of the organisation (Winter and Szczepanek, 2017).
There are various types of research which can be used by the Quantum Technology are described
as below: Quantitative research: It is research method in which collected data can be measured in
numerical values. In this, information can be collected from various sampling methods
such as online surveys, questionnaire, polls etc.

 Qualitative research: This research method does not include any numerical value. In this
method researchers may use photographs, observation etc. in order to gather relevant
information according to their topic. Quantum Technology can opt this method as data
collected is more relevant in comparison to quantitative data. Primary research: In this research method, researcher collects information and data from
the respondents directly by communicating with them. It includes focus groups, online
surveys, observations, face to face interviews, telephonic interviews etc. In context to
Quantum Technology, this organisation can opt this method for gathering relevant and
accurate information from its respondents.
 Secondary research: In secondary research method, collected information is based on the
thoughts and views of some other (Kendrick, 2015). This method provide information in
less time as data is collected from other sources like. Information in secondary research is
gathered from various sources like magazines, articles, internet, newspaper, books etc.
which is required to attain appropriate conclusion for research.
Quantum Technology has opted primary research method in order to gather relevant
information from the 30 respondents. Further, they have also used secondary research method so
that gathered data can be valuable for the company. In this research, investigator have used
questionnaire for the purpose of collecting relevant information.

efficiencies of firms, 8 customers said that payments about the products can be made easily from
any location all around the globe. Whereas 7 respondents said that it helps in enhancing broad
networking connectivity and 6 individuals were in favour that mobile technology. Hence, this
can state that high efficiency is one of the most efficient benefit for Quantum Technology.

of mobile technology is complex at the initial phase but after providing appropriate training to
the employees it will transform work of employees more effective and easier. 20 respondent
have said that it easier to install mobile technology whereas, 10 among 30 feels that it is complex
procedure.
Recommendation
Quantum Technology has conducted research for the purpose of improving work
efficiency of its employees by using mobile technology in their working process. It has been
recommended to the organisation that management team should conduct several training sessions
for the employees so that they can easily accept changes which have be raise due to
implementation of mobile technology. These training sessions will directly enhance skills of the
employees which will impact positively on their performance. Along with this, organisation
should firstly analyse whole procedure of implementing mobile technology in the company then
evaluate actual cost, time and resources which are required to execute it effectively. This will

help Quantum technology to guide its employees so that they can use available resources
properly without wasting it. It can be said that if appropriate fund, time and resources are not
available for the organisation then procedure of implementation will not be finished. After
implementation of mobile technology in the organisation, it is required by the top management
of Quantum technology to monitor usage of this at regular interval. It will also help in
understanding whether employees for which it is actually implemented are able to use it or not.
In addition to this feedback about system can be taken from employees so that it can be modified
according to use it in effective and fruitful manner. As main concept implementing mobile
technology in Quantum technology is to help employees in connecting to their customers across
the world. This also contribute in providing advance pattern of marketing services to the
customers so that they can satisfy their actual requirement.
Reflection
In this research, I have analysed that digital technology is an effective tool for every
organisation as it helps increasing their work proficiency. At the time research it has been
observed by me mobile technology is one among effective factor that can easily help marketing
company in improving services. Along with this, it also contributes in grabbing attention of
customers at global level. I have used primary research method in order to collect correct
information from the respondents for implementing mobile technology in Quantum technology.
Further, I have also used secondary research method which helped me in making my data more
authentic and relevant. This technology will help organisation in connecting to the its customers
across the world and also enhance working ability of its employees. I have used questionnaire
which is filled by 30 respondents. I have also observed that there are various factors like cost,
communication, time, quality, resources etc. are required to include while making appropriate
project management plan.
CONCLUSION
From the above mentioned report it has been evaluated that digital technology is helpful
in expanding every small business. Mobile technology is beneficial for companies as it helps in
connecting with the customers at global level. Primary research is used in which questionnaire is
formulated which is further utilised for gathering relevant information from customer. It has been

analysed that mobile technology is beneficial for organisation as it helps improving their services
which are delivered to the customers.
