INTRODUCTION
Any types of data disseminated on a computer refers to as digital technology. It helps in
enhancing the creativity level along with it helps in distribution of data. One of the best example
of digital technology is cloud technology (Glover and Kusterer, 2016). It is a technology which
deliver several computing services like storage, networking, software, intelligence and many
more through the internet service(“the cloud”). This helps to offer faster innovation and
economics of scale. This report is based on Continental Consulting Limited Company, it is a
research consultancy company headed by Maxio Bindas as a CEO of the company. This
presented report gives the brief about the aims and objectives of the project. Additionally, this
project management plan is also mentioned which covers aspects of cost, scope, time, quality,
communication, risk and resources. Gantt charts and work breakdown structure are also
discussed here. Lastly, various methods are also include in this report to gather relevant data
toward the project.
1 Project aims and objectives
The aim of every business organization is to accomplish the given task and objectives in
a efficient and effective manner. This is possible only if the company thinks about and
implement some innovative structures and technology. In order to achieve the target goal on the
specified time period the best technology is cloud technology. This technology relies upon
sharing of data in order to achieve coherence and along with this it helps in minimizing IT cost.
Additionally it helps in meeting the unpredictable demand (Mwobobia, 2012). It is very much
helpful in sharing and transferring of information from one individual to other. In simple
language, it is a technology through which the resources are acquired from network based tools
and application.
Continental consulting limited company, has taken into consideration the cloud
technology in order to upgrade and renovate the company facilities so that the company can give
a stiff competition in the market.

Background of research:
Continental consultancy limited is a business and research consultancy, this company has
adopted the new innovation technology named “cloud technology” so as to upgrade and renovate

the facilities in order to sustain in market.. The Mario Bindas who is the owner of the company
procured with latest technology equipment but with the passage of time the technology used by
the company got obsolete. This was one of the reason which made the owner felt about to
upgrade the use of IT technology ( like “cloud technology”) so as to maximize the company
capabilities (Chen and et. al., 2015).
Research Aim:
The aim of this research is “to determine the effectiveness of cloud technology in
achieving business growth”. A case study on Continental consultancy limited.
Research objectives:
 To determine the significance of cloud technology.
 To determine how cloud technology help in achieving business growth
 To analyse the challenges faced by the Continental consultancy limited in achieving
growth.

2 Project management plan.
Project management-The process of management in which planning, organising,
initiating, executing and controlling all the functions are performed for a specific project. The
main focus of project management is to effectively manage the resources towards the objective
of the company (Etro, 2015). Here the organisation is Continental Consulting Ltd which is a
business consultancy group which is trying to maintaining the potential of engineering people in
company. Here the weakness of the company is addressed as less effective in up gradation of
their technology and the organisation is trying to implement all the possible solution that can
solve this problem. So it is important for Continental Consulting Ltd to make an effective project
plan in which all the issues and aspects of company can be efficiently solved. The company is
applying cloud technology in there business so that they can grow and innovate themselves .
There are various aspects that helps in making an effective management of project are as follows.

Cost- Cost is considered as amount of specific product or services which is required to be
paid by its users. In context to Continental Consulting Ltd, this company is planning to
implement cloud technology at its workplace. For this, its top management have formulated an
effective budget including all of its requirement which are mentioned as below:

Time- The company have to make the deadline or limit of time in which they can setup
all there equipment all over the places around. In Continental Consulting Ltd the company have
to decide time frame of each and every task so that the management of time can be done and
focus could be given to different process of working also.
Quality- Before installing all the equipment and machinery regarding the cloud
technology the quality manager should ensure the proper quality of management. If in
Continental Consulting Ltd, the overall quality is matching the standards of the company or not.
If not then delivery of the product can be rejected by quality department of the company.
Communication- Effective communication is always needed which helps in maintaining
the connection with the different employees working in various department of Continental

Consulting Ltd. As this helps in resolving all the issues and conflict arises during the working
process. The issues could be related to technological functioning,behaviour of employee etc.
Risk- The chances of loosing the value of something is known as risk. In the context of
organisation the risk is in the form of data security and environmental effects in like rain,
snowfall which can harm and damage the machinery and equipment at the particular location.
So the company needs to also install safety equipment which can make there machinery safe and
secure from these threats (Suthaharan, 2014).
Resources – The infrastructure of the company should be sound which helps in proper
management of the function. The resources that is the funds should be allotted in the proper time
implementation of the machinery could be done easily. In Continental Consulting Ltd the
resources are in the form information and machines so they should be timely allotted for
effective project management.

Continental consultancy limited has taken into consideration two major techniques in
order to carry out the different activities on time and as well as to achieve growth in the market.
The two techniques are stated below:
Work-break down structure(WBS):
It sis one the techniques used by the Continental consultancy limited so a to achieve
growth in the market. It is a deliverable breakdown of the task into smaller components in order
to increase the effectiveness, productivity and efficiency. The major goal of WBS is to make
large project more easier and manageable by breaking down into small chunks. This will result in
increase in productivity (Selviandro, Suryani and Hasibuan, 2014).
Benefits of WBS for Continental consultancy limited:

 Helps in determining the project timeline and to develop a schedule.

4 Small scale research by applying qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
Research is all about the detailed study and analysis about the specific problems using
scientific methods. In simple language it is the study and investigation of different sources so as
to establish facts and to draw out new conclusion. The major purpose of research is to correct
and refine hypothesis which should lead to acceptance of scientific truth (Avram, 2014). There
are two types of research approaches inductive and deductive research approach. Inductive
research approach is based on the fact about generating of new theory emerging from the data.
Whereas deductive research approach is used to verify the observed situation. Research
methodologies id the process of collecting information so as to draw out some conclusion. It
includes interviews, questionnaire, surveys and many other research techniques.
Types of research methodologies:
There are basically two types of research methodologies which are explained below:
Qualitative research:It is a research techniques which is used to collect only non-
numerical data. This type of research is used to gain an understanding of opinions and
motivation. It helps in developing ideas or hypothesis for potential numerical research. For
example group discussion, personal interviews, observation and many more (Smith, Bhogal and
Sharma, 2014).
Quantitative research: It is a systematic investigation of the observed facts and figures
using some statistical and mathematical techniques. This type of research are objective,
elaborative and investigatory in quality. For example collection of data through paper surveys,

kiosk surveys, online surveys, telephonic interviews, longitudinal studies and systematic
observations.
Types of data sources:
Primary data: It is the data collected by the researcher from the original source. In simple
language, it is the first-hand data collected for some specific purpose. For example,
Experiments,observations, interviews and many more. One of the basic advantage of this data is
that this are reliable for the researcher and can even replicate the producer to check out the
outcomes as they know what all are the procedure and how the data are being gathered (Smith,
A., Bhogal, J. and Sharma, M., 2014).
Secondary data: It is the data which is collected by the researcher from the primary
source. For example, journals, published books, magazines and many more. One of the
advantage of using secondary data is that it is easy to access and acquire low cost. Additionally,
it is time saving and helps to make primary data collection more specific as well helps in
understanding of problems.
For this project researcher use quantitative and primary data collection methods. In order to carry
out this research, questionnaire were prepared and were asked to fill up by 40 respondents so as
to analyze and interpret their views about the concept of cloud technology.

Research is all about gathering the data from the various sources and then integrate those

aware of the concept. While 10 people do not about this technology as they are not familiar
with technology used for storing of data.

fact that the productivity is increasing after applying this technology as by using cloud
computing helps in managing different types if data and information. While 10 people believe
that the main advantage of this technology is that it can auto-update the whole program without
any human interference so reduces the use of human resources and helps in gaining the
advantage of time management. While only 8 people believe in its lower cost as one time
installation cost is high and after installing it less need of maintenance is required.

Majority of people are in favour of cloud technology because it provide both tangible and
intangible benefits to the company for generating revenue as well as to achieve growth in the
market. The installing of cloud technology is easy because it needs less number of machines and
equipment and also needs less manpower which changing or upgrading this. Its main
implementation and programming is done by IT executives so installing process is not complex
at all.

6 Recommendations
Digital technologies plays a important role in enhancing the growth of the company. It
helps in increasing the efficiency, productivity of the different types of operational activities that
are carried out in an organization. Innovation and implementation of latest digital technology
name”cloud technology” has result in generating effective and high degree of revenue for the
company. Similarly, it serves various benefits for the company like upgrading software ,
accessing file, provide higher degree of security and many more (Smith, Bhogal and Sharma,
2014). Adoption of Cloud technology technique has been recommended to the Continental
consulting limited because this company has failed to access and store data. But before
implementation of cloud technology the company must ensure the degree of quality and
flexibility the technology supplies. In addition to this from the above interpretation it can be
recommended that majority of people are in favor of implementing and upgrading of cloud
technology in their respective business concern as this will result in preventing business from
any kind of financial as well as data loss. In order to implement cloud technology, organization
has started conducting appropriate training programs so that they can increase workers

7 Reflection
As per my point of view, cloud technology has proven to be the best technology as it has
helped me to increase my knowledge and skills level. Beside this, I founded that cloud
technology is the typical term which includes deep facts and figures in order to understand its
importance. While carrying out research, I have faced some difficulties in order to understand
the detail knowledge about the cloud technology. For successful implementation of this research
there was a requirement of longer time period but due to insufficient time it was difficult for
me to carry out this research. Along with this because of insufficient time it was difficult for me
to interpretate and examine the research facts and figures as well as to understand the broader
term cloud technology. In addition to this I founded that due to lack of time and improper
implementation of planning schedule it was difficult for me to gather research analysis. In order
to overcome such problems I have made a proper planning schedule by selecting 40 respondent
as with the help of them it was vary easy for me to gather relevant information. Moreover with
the help of this research I have acquired skills and knowledge related to the cloud technology as
in future even I can give guidance and suggestion to other business concern even about the
beneficial of cloud technology. As per my point of view, the member of Continental consulting
limited requires the training session so that they can even gather and acquire knowledge about
the new innovation technology name “cloud technology”. This will be beneficial for the
company, as it will be helpful in achieving the growth of the company.
CONCLUSION
From the above research it has been interpreted that digital technology plays a vital role
in increasing the productivity and efficiency of the company. Cloud technology is just the part of
digital technology which is best for the company in order to access data and programs outside of
personal computing environment. This technology involves various application like -mail,
database etc. Over all it can be concluded that this technology proves to be very much useful as it
reduces potential security, control risk as well beneficial at the time when there is a requirement

of higher degree of security. This is one of the best technology which helps in improving and
developing the overall growth of the company.
