Introduction
The way business processes are conducted has been revolutionized by the use of digital
technologies and this helped in a faster and efficient operation of the business. During the last
decade, digital technologies have brought a huge impact on the business models and activities as
well as have helped the companies to gain the wealth of choice and grab the opportunities of the
market. This assignment will help to devise the aims and objectives of the project in relation to
digital technology and its impacts on the business activities. Thus, a small-scale project will be
conducted, which would help to gather information and data regarding the knowledge and
support of the project. These data would then be analysed and some relevant tools and
techniques would be suggested. In addition, some recommendations would be provided for the
ease of the research and an analysis would be graphically provided, so that the project can
conclude with some valid and meaningful conclusions. Finally, there would be a reflection on
the part of the researcher, which would help the business to support sustainable organisational
performance.
Company background
Continental Consulting Limited is a small business company and is based on research and
business consultancy. This company founded in London and conducts its business in London and
Greater London; where the main business that is conducted by the company is business process
reengineering. The main customers of the company belong to small and medium manufacturing
companies that is situated in London and the nearby areas. The head of the company works with
22 connoisseur consultants and researches and has been set up approximately 8 years ago. When
the company had commenced its business, it had procured some of the latest equipments,
computers and facilities at that time, but as time went by, this company have faced huge
competition and increased innovation in the markets, for which the business activities has been
hampered and its competitors are able to dominate over this company.

Aim of the project:
The aim of the project is to analyse the impact of digital technology on the growth and
innovation and the company, Continental Consulting Limited, and the way in which it has
affected the business activities in the several departments.
Objectives of the project:
 To investigate the need and requirements of digital technology on the activities of the
company
 To evaluate the impact of digital technology on the operations of the business
 To analyse the challenges faced due to the implementation of digital technology in the
business
 To provide recommendations for a better use of the digital technology and for the
improvement in the operations of the business
Problem Statement
The company possesses a huge level of experience in the fields where it operates; and has great
expertise in the way the employees work. The head of the business has now understood that the
business is losing to its competitors and the company is not being able to generate enough
revenue for the up gradation of the business process. These are enabling the other competitors to
take advantage of the weaknesses of this company and capture the customers, which were once a
part of this company. The company now wishes to increase the level of digital technologies, so
that the operations are much more efficient and the business processes can be upgraded with the
help of these technologies.

The above chart helps to understand the different activities that have been implemented by the
researcher for the ease of the project and the time that is required for conducting these activities
with the intention of carrying out the assignment. Furthermore, the expenditure that has been
incurred in the implementation of the research with the assistance of Google forms and emails
has been shown in the table. It has been seen that interviews that are conducted face to face with
employees and the managers have incurred less expenses than the ones, which are conducted
through Google forms and emails.

SCOPE
Included Scope:
 The observation of the human resources towards the employed digital technologies is
measured while preparing this project.
 The ideas and the views of the employees have been noted in detail and would be used
for the analysis of the project.
 The impact of the implementation of digital technologies on the company and the level of
performance of the employees is calculated.
 The opinions of the administrators of the Continental Consulting Limited towards the
applied digital technologies in the business are to be carefully analyzed.
 The advantages and the opportunities the company can benefit from due to the
implementation of the digital technologies would be considered as well.
Excluded Scope:
 The ideas and the opinions of the customers in relation to the digital technologies in
business have been excluded from the project.
 The rival companies and the employees of these companies would not be surveyed to
determine the effect of the business operations on this company.
Quality management
The data that is to be collected would be gathered from some arbitrary sources and this data
would be narrowed down, so that this could be documented and can be implemented in
appropriate formats. The questions that are created for the analysis of data would be created in
association with the objectives of research and the aim of the project, and this in turn, would be
helpful for the researcher to gather required information that are obligatory for the
accomplishment of the research. To maintain the quality of the research data, the data would be
collected in an unbiased manner and the data would not be tampered at all. The data that would
be collected would be analysed and documented in a specified time frame, so that there is no
distortion of the data that is collected.
