INTRODUCTION
Reflective practice is defined as a type of learning experience which involves sitting on
fast experiences to understand personal capabilities and limits and learn from them (Burgis-
Kasthala, 2020.). It is important to reflect on past experiences understand personal reactions two
various events and returning ways of improving correction two perform more effectively
in future events. This report identifies significant elements in terms of learning in the
module BMA6105-20. The impact of the learning in this module on personal level and its effect
on future choices is also described in this report. Reflective writing is used to mind the main
elements learned from this module. This is conducted three times in this report to consider three
areas of study to build effectively on learning experience.
MAIN BODY
Sustainable Business models
The primary area discussed in this module was focused on different types of sustainable
business models. I was able to understand the requirement and significance of sustainable
business models delays in which business phones can adopt sustainable business models.

knowledge can be implemented in professional practice to reduce environmental damage. I
learned about the triple bottom line approach which helped me understand the responsibilities of

business model which includes diversity, modularity, Openness, slack resources and matching
cycles (Nath, Eweje and Bathurst, 2021). This theory helped me understand the main element of
a sustainable business model and based in which business firms can shift there we point towards
overall business environment to ensure sustainable growth of the company.
The primary discussions surrounding managing sustainability in this area focus on ways
of building sustainable business model. This involves taking effort to shift and replace current

business models to sustainable business models in order to reduce environmental damage caused
by the company. I learned that current business models are only focused on economic growth
and avoid areas related to sustainability which damages environment and society. It it's important
for business firms to invest in additional sustainable business models so that the level of
sustainability of business firms can be managed effectively. I was able to learn ways of
managing sustainability by implementation of so stable business models and usage of triple
bottom line approach. In addition to this I also understood the application of each element of
sustainable business model to company. The literature covered in this report provided me
material for understanding the ways in which business models for sustainable growth can be
implemented successfully in practical life. This helped me develop transferable skills which can
be used in my future employment. Literature provided also included disadvantages of the
different sustainable business models. This proved my knowledge managing sustainability as I
was able to understand the areas which need to be managed carefully so that improvement in
sustainability does not cause any damage to a company. In the case of the triple bottom line
approach, I was able to understand that the disadvantage of this model is the difference between
ability to measure different benefits in a monetary based economy. Social environmental benefits
caused by the company cannot be measured in monetary realms while the economic benefit can
be effectively measured (Goworek and et. al., 2020). This is the main disadvantage of triple
bottom line approach. this type of literature helped me engage in critical evaluation of the area
and enhanced the level of my knowledge.
Developing an understanding of different the steam will business models significant for
managing sustainability because it helps change the basic structure of the business to gain
sustainable results. Sustainable business models at the foundation of sustainability in the current
corporate environment can be used to ensure minimum environmental damage to gain
sustainable future for the society (Lahtinen and Yrjölä, 2019). By understanding the literature
surrounding sustainable business models I was able to understand the mean issues and aspects
related to sustainability in the current corporate environment. I also gained knowledge of
practical implication with associated with different sustainable models as I was able to apply the
sustainable models in context of a UK based company. Understanding the practical application
of business models is significant because it supports improvement in employability and quicker
in advancement in future professional life. I learned about the merits and demerits of different

business models and I am now able to tick proactive measures to ensure that the daily operations
of the company are managed sustainability and every decision taken in the company supports
development of sustainability. this is significant area in sustainability management is it directly
focuses on taking action to enhance sustainability of the company and changing every element of
the company structure assistant attaining goals related to sustainability.
I will be able to utilize the knowledge the end from this module to ensure sustainable
management of a company in my future profession. This will help me create positive change in
context of system will growth of the company and ensure that the business is advantages for
society, environment and investors. Implementing sustainable business models is the first step of
improving sustainability in a business (Ma, 2017). The discussions in this area of the module
have helped me develop profound understanding of sustainability, sustainable management and
sustainable business models. I am now able to determine the negative elements of a business
model which cannot support sustainability and will act as barriers towards environment friendly
growth. The information provided about triple bottom line improve my session number
management in practical situations as I will be able to look at different implications of various
business decisions and select the best option which it's beneficial for the environment as well as
the financial growth of the company. I was also able to know the disadvantages of triple bottom
line which will help me make decisions in monetary aspects of social and environmental
implications which can be measured effective decision making in context of sustainable
management.
Corporate social responsibility
This module improved my knowledge in context of corporate social responsibility. I was
able to understand recognition of corporate social responsibility and its role in ensuring
sustainable management of a company. This helped me understand importance of responsible
management of a company and the role of a company in ensuring that success of a company also
has positive impacts on community and broader environment affected by the firm. Corporate
social responsibility is recently developed concept (Canzaniello, Hartmann and Fifka, 2017). The
discussions surrounding corporate socialist also looked at the examples of business
firms who are not able to responsibly manage business operations and cause used to external
environment. From this discussion I also learned about ways in which corporate social
responsibility can be implemented effectively to ensure positive impact on external

environment and society. Looking at examples of real life business firms I was able to
understand the importance of sustainable management and its role in ensuring balanced growth
of a company and maintenance of environmental harmony.
The focus of the literature surrounding corporate social responsibility involved looking
at the role of corporate social responsibility and improving sustainable management of
a company. Apart from this instance of ineffective corporate social responsibility which do
not use the environmental damage caused by the company also discussed literature in this area.
With the help of literature I was able to understand the ways in which can be adopted by business
firms too ensure that various business operations doo not lead to environmental imbalance. I also
gained the knowledge of ways in which business firms can take additional action to use their
profits for environmental betterment. The role of corporate social responsibility in using profits
of the company to ensure sustainable development was also explained through literature
discussed in this area.
The area of corporate social responsibility is highly important for sustainable
management (Gutterman, 2020). This is because it provides the company various benefits such
as improved brand reputation, better consumer engagement, improving employee satisfaction
and providing cost savings to the company. There are also a range of benefits for employees after
embracing CSR. The workplace becomes a more positive and productive place to work, and by
promoting things like volunteering, employees are encouraged towards personal and professional
growth.
I will be able to utilize the knowledge gained from this module about corporate social
responsibility to take action for enhancing sustainable impact of the company on various
elements of the external environment. This will enable me to ensure sustainable management in
my future professional career as I will be able to make accurate decisions in relation to corporate
social responsibility at the company so that thee resources are used by the company to have
ensure sustainable development of the company. This will enhance my employability as the
capability of managing sustainability is essential for gaining promotions to leadership positions
and enhancing employability.

This module discusses sustainable business practices and actions which can be taken by
organizations to ensure maximum sustainability of the company. I was able to understand

in the supply chain is that it helps improve supply chain of the industry and ensure that every
business engaged in the industry is operating sustainably. The business practice of implementing
sustainable policies is also high because it helps maximise sustainability at the company.
By learning about sustainability and sustainable business practice I will be able to create
sustainable management strategies and ensure that every aspect of the company is effectively
managed in future employment.

CONCLUSION
From the above report it is concluded that, the module helped enhance learning on the
topic of corporate social responsibility, sustainable business models and sustainable business
practices. Reflective practice can be used to enhance future performance by analyzing past
experiences. In order to reflect effectively on past experiences the main elements which need to
be covered include the main points learned in the experience, the discussions and literature
surrounding sustainability, the significance of the topic discussed and the ways in which the
leaned content can be utilized in the future. This helps ensure that the learning experience will be
used for future development and support attainment of goals.
