The vision of Nestle is providing the consumers of it products, with food products,
which are safe, and the quality and standard are maintained. They try to have optimal value in
nutrition of the food products, in order to meet the psychological needs of the consumers. The
products, which Nestle brings, for the consumers have vital ingredients of taste as well as
pleasure. Nestle works with the mission of providing food products, which are better in
quality and make the life of people better. Nestlé’s purpose targets at enhancing life quality
and standards and building a healthier future world. Providing inspiration to the people for
living healthier lives, is through which Nestle contributes to the society at the same time
making sure the success of the company. Nestlé’s positioning is definitely sustainable in
nature, being the largest food company of the world, Nestle is always determined in
providing consumers with the best available quality in food products. The company is
committed in meeting sustainable development goals both environmentally and in conducting
ethical and sound business purposes (Christiansen 2014). The Nestle follows certain
sustainability standards and frameworks through its positioning. They try to provide the
quality food products and ensure healthy lifestyle and ensure sustainable development. The
business principles, values and culture try to follow corporate business and governance
principles, leadership principles. The follow sustainable economic performance and
development, as long term aimed reliable returns for shareholders, as well as investor
relations, they target at food business and agricultural development, and try to invest in
human capacity. Nestle purchase agricultural raw materials directly from the farmers, thus
promoting farmer friendly relationship in the society. The sustainable environmental
practices in which water is seen as a key priority, the training, transfer of technology in the
organization, Nestle labor and employment practices, and of course involvement in
communities.

Response to Research Question 2
Sustainability reporting includes the practice of measurement, and making public and
holding the organization accountable for the all over organizational performance towards the
goal and target of sustainable development. The reports of nestle on sustainability include
their all around the year sustainable performances on economic goals, environmental work,
and the social development work undertaken by Nestle in different parts of Australia. They
provide a balanced representation along with reasonable evidences, of the performances
whichever, positive or negative they may be. Nestle define the process of sustainable
development as the way of continuously increasing entire world’s access to food, efficient
and having quality standard, and also working contribute towards the long term development
of the society as well as economic performances (Payaud 2014). The preservation of
environment for the future generations, and making a green and clean world for the future.
The entire 135 year old journey of Nestle and since its operations in Australia as well, they
have tried to focus on creating long term value for the consumers which are meeting the
sustainable goals as well. They undertake various efficient practices. One of the key features
of their program is that they locate the particular aspects of local community and social
sphere of their working environment, not only restricting itself by simple raw materials
sourcing. Nestle follows the policy that their business should be good for both the country of
operation as well as the company, thus it becomes a true partner in the process of sustainable
development of the particular country. Nestle has a purpose when it starts to invest in
developing countries, in the agricultural sector, helps in the development of dairy industry,
and has a worldwide duty and responsibility for protection of source and supply of raw
materials. The sustainability in the supply process of raw materials, includes also integrated
farming procedures and the use of proper technological facilities helps in attaining
sustainability.
