INTRODUCTION
Business is refers to a firm in which all procedure and function performed in manner to
attain aims and objectives of organization effectively (LaVoi and Haley, 2021). By emphasizing
business helps in raising organization productivity. The report is based on Mark and Spencer
company, that is situated in UK and provide varieties of services to customer by satisfying their
needs and preferences in desired manner. It is a retailer company that driven various product
such as cloths and other products that make their goods to attain more and more customer in
desired manner. In this determine both framework SWOT and PESTEL that helps business to
run in productive way and emphasize their role. Further, their influences is study and emphasize
leadership style that plays key role in function of management. Also, study corporate social
responsibility that plays key role in organization by determining their role.
Swot analysis
Swot analysis is used to find out internal environment of the company. It has four elements
which are as follows:
strength-
branding of the company is the biggest strength (Lamas Leite and et.al., 2017). They sell high
vale products by targeting premium range of customers. Marks and Spenser produce clothes
which is sophisticated and fashionable and stylish and it helps in attracting large number of
customers. Company sell premium products and the products has labels on that which helps
company in making familiar to the customers with brand. When customer again and again see
label then it helps company in retaining their customers for longer period. Innovation is also the
strength of the company. They have R&D team which helps company in launching innovative
products in the market. Company have diverse workforce which help them in giving creative
ideas so that company can grow. Company provides equal opportunities to their employees and
do not discriminate on the basis of religion, age, gender, colour, race etc. this has also helped
company in improving their image in the market.
Weaknesses-
they are not able enough to penetrate in the global market successfully. Company have its
presence across the globe but they are primarily present in UK, US and Europe. Marks and
Spenser have failed in gulf countries and various Asian countries because they focus on western
designs only (Schuetz, Mair and Schrefl, 2018). There are many customers of the company who

are not satisfied with the return policy of the company. Due to this thing company is losing their
potential customers.
Opportunities-
with the change in era it can be seen that fashion is evolving and every day new customers is
joining company. There are various Asian countries where there is demand of traditional wear so
company can grab this opportunity and manufacture traditional clothes which they can sell.
Technology is also opportunity for the company. With the help of technology company can
easily promote their products and increase their customer base. Social media is the best way
through which company can do advertisement as it is less expensive also. Although marks and
Spenser have online presence but they do not have good position in the online industry as
Amazon have. E-commerce is the future so company have opportunity to grow in e-commerce
industry and increase their online sales.
Threats-
competition is the biggest threat for the company (Yoman, 2021). As there are lot of competition
in the market like Zara, H&M etc. which can decrease customer base of marks and Spenser by
manufacturing innovative goods in the market. If company will not make modification in the
industry in regards of their strategy then they will soon loss their existence from the market.
Pestle analysis
This framework helps in ascertaining the external environment of the company on which
company have less control.
Political factors-
free trade is introduced in various countries which is helping marks and Spenser in expanding
their business in various countries easily. When company sells their products in many locations
then it helps them in increasing their profits and getting higher revenue. Although the decision of
Brexit has impacted company because now it has become difficult for the company to get low
cost labour from EU.
Economic factors-
it has observed that there are various new companies in the market which are producing products
of low price and they are stealing the market share of premium price products like marks and
Spenser. Competitors are providing same products at low prices which are reducing sales of
