DoS attack
In general, this is an important concept of computing, which is also known as a
denial-of-service attack (referred as DoS attack). It is a kind of cyber-attack into which the
perpetrator strives for making a network resource or machine unavailable to their intended
customers with the help of temporarily or indefinitely distracting services when a host is
connected to the Internet. In this context, a DoS attack enables the attackers or hackers to stop
legitimate users from accessing the services normally. In this way, in such scenarios the
attacker usually propels a lot of messages while asking the server or network to confirm
requests which have illegal return addresses.
E-commerce security
In general, e-Commerce security is a set of those principles which specifically guide
safe electronic transactions. It has been found that when a person is buying and selling of
goods and services with the help of Internet E-commerce security is essential for him. E-
commerce security allows individuals to sell and purchase goods but with suitable protocols
to offer safety for the persons who are involved. The study of this concept is necessary
because of the most common security threats such as phishing attacks, data misuse, money
thefts, hacking, credit card frauds, as well as unprotected services.
