Group Report: Launching & Marketing a New Business Idea
1. Introduction: The report presents a start up company intending to introduce a new product, called ''The
Magic Green.'' The product is trying to help a particular environmental issue, which is the plastic pollution.
The report will provide a detail analysis of the business idea, the concept itself, the marketing approaches
and will evaluate the feasibility of the business. The target market will be based at Stoke-on-Trent city.
2. Situation Analysis
2.1. Business Concept: The business idea is an inventing a stainless-steel recyclable
plastic machine, called ''The Magic Green.'' The machine will smash the plastic
and with a help of a spray, it is going to turn the plastic into colourful pastels.
This colourful spray is containing the ingredients to make the plastic into pastels.
The concept of this product is an educational and fun. The purpose of the business idea is parents to
educate their children how important is the plastic pollution and how to recycle it in an enjoyable
manner. This product is distinctive because approaches climate action and sustainable living by
allowing people to control and reduce the amount of plastic wastage.
The printing procedure contain two main processes and they are:
Electronic Beam Melting (EBM): The electron beam helps to fully melts the
plastic to form the desired object which is the pastel.
Digital Light Processing (DLP): This technology helps for regulating the amount
of light onto the surface and makes the plastic to harden quickly. (Ahart, 2019).

The software of The Magic Green is constructed in three pieces: The first one is required to create the
object and export it as a file (CAD), second to convert it to a G-code file that a printer can read (CAM),
and finally the third piece is a firmware of the printer, which reads and executes the file. (Enfroy, 2021).

2.2. Buisness Personnel/Internal skills
Kristina Usheva: Website design, research, and operation.
Bianca Rogojan: Networking, digital media, and communication.
The team members are complementary with the relevant skills, experience, and knowledge. Kristina
has a good experience of web designing and suitable skills for planning and researching. On the other
hand, Bianca has got an advantage of networking and digital media platforms, which is very helpful and
useful for the marketing activities of the business.
2.3. Organisation Type
According to Green (2020) in the UK, there are four main types of business structures and these
are:
The team decided to do the business in a
partnership because would be easy structure
to start up. The members will have equality
with a contactual agreement and will share
responsibilities, profits, risks, and rewards.
Also, the partnership is flexibile and simple
structure, which is ideal for business partners
who know and trust each other very well.

2.4. Financial Position
The business is a start up, so the team take a start up loan of £10,000 from the British Business Bank
because of the required amount of funding. The company position starts with £10,000 as a capital.
The team members decided to not take salary in the first six months, in order the business to
success. The second part of the year the salary is going to be paid at the national minimum wage,
which is £8.91in 2021 according to UK Goverment. The predicition for 12 months:

3.1. Micro-Environmental Factors
Competitor Analysis: The 3D printing industry is huge, and it is very competitive. According to
Market Reserach Future (2021) the top two global competitors are: MyMiniFactory (UK) and
Stratasys Ltd (US). They are well established and have already built their place and identity in the
market.
From the above table, The Magic Green have a better understanding of what
competitors are doing and what is their focus. The Magic Green differentiate from them
by allowing customers to make their own environmental product, not just buy it from an
online website. The competitors dominate the 3D printing industry, in terms of revenues
and hold a large share of the 3D printing market. However, The Magic Green opens
doors for educational, creativity, enjoyable and inspiration possibilities for the children.
