INTRODUCTION
In the era of stiff competition marketing is considered as major function of a business
entity which is helpful in increasing sales of the company (Bradford, 2021). Most of the successful
national and international companies gives stress on marketing related operations to generate
revenue and grow with faster pace at the marketplace. It is the major responsibility of marketing
department of a company to advertise for products and services of the company in order to gain
business development. In this report crucial roles and responsibilities of marketing are explained
in a precise manner. This report also includes the implementation of marketing mix of a
company to perform expansion of business. In this report there is a brief description of marketing
plan for a company is explained with application of marketing plan. In this report example of
Red Bull energy drink is considered for better understanding marketing environment. Red Bull
energy drink is a major energy drink which is famous all over the world. Red Bull energy drink
was developed by Dietrich Mates chitz and launched in Austria on 1st April 1987.

P1 The responsibilities and roles of different functions of marketing
In the corporate world there are different roles and responsibilities which are allocated to the
marketing department which helps a business to grow. In the achievement of different goals and
objectives of a company the marketing department play a crucial role. It is the ethical
responsibility of marketing management to develop various roles and responsibilities for the
marketing department in order to gain competitive advantage. Allocation of appropriate roles and
responsibilities to the marketing management helps a company to achieve various goals and
objectives in a short period of time (Davis, J., 2017). Red Bull energy drink allocates roles and
responsibilities on the basis of qualification and eligibility of employees. The roles and
responsibilities of marketing management in Red Bull energy drink are explained below:
Ethics and integrity- It is the major duty of marketing staff of Red Bull energy drink to
perform several operations with ethics and integrity. The application of ethics and
integrity will develop honesty in different functions which will be helpful in increasing
customer satisfaction. The different successful companies in global and national market
follow ethics and integrity in operations to achieve business objectives in a systematic

manner. It is the crucial responsibility of marketing management to train employees with
ethics and integrity in order to survive at the marketplace.
Customer engagement- The main duty of marketing staff of a company is to increase
customer satisfaction. Customer engagement should be developed by using appropriate
marketing techniques for increasing market development. The main aim of every
business organisation in corporate world is to increase customer satisfaction in a crucial
manner for overall development of a business. Topmost priority of management is to
develop customer engagement for maintaining better relationship with several customers.
Customer relationship management- Maintaining customer relationship is the major
duty of marketing management which is functioning in the business environment. The
customer relationship management means developing healthy relationship with each
customer to take appropriate response from different customers. Red Bull energy drink
always takes feedback from different customers to develop business goals and objectives.
Effective promotion and advertisements of products and services- This is considered
as primary function of marketing department to develop promotion of products and
services. The marketing department of a company develops crucial methods and ways to
promote products and services of the company to maximise revenue and profitability of
the company (Deepak, R.K.A. and (Jeyakumar, S., 2019). In the era of stiff competition
between different companies it is essential to promote products with utmost priority and
sincerity to gain attention of different customers.

It is essential for the marketing department of business to be linked with different marketing
departments of a business to survive at the marketplace. In the recent times it is compulsory for a
business to develop relationship of marketing department with different departments to increase
business coordination. The marketing department of Red Bull energy drink is connected with the
following departments to grow at the marketplace:
Human resource management of Red Bull energy drink is connected with marketing
department to develop business goals and objectives. The HR management provides
culture related training to employees of marketing management for business
