Strengths
Reliable Suppliers: Nestle has a good base of suppliers who are reliable and are
providing raw materials that are of higher quality hence enabling a firm to overcome
bottlenecks in the supply chain.
Skilled workforce: Nestle has huge amount of high quality resources. They are
investing high on their training and development programs which makes their
workforce more competent than anyone else in the industry (Nestle, 2019).
Higher performance in the new markets: Nestle is an expert in entering into the new
markets and become successful. This helps them in building new revenue streams and
making diversification in the economic cycle risk within the market where it operates
(Nestle, 2019).
Product innovation: They have a diverse product range which they have made through
their product innovation strategies.
Partnerships: They have done successful integration of new technologies and doing
merger and acquisition. With this they have been able to achieve better supply chain
network which has added to their overall value chain (Nestle, 2019).
Bigger brand name: Nestle has created a bigger brand name for them which helps
them in doing their business.
Strong free cash flow: They have a strong cash flow which ensures that they could
expand in the new projects easily.
Weaknesses
Investment in new technology: Company needs to invest in new technologies
especially because of the fact that their scale of expansion for the company is big
which can be controlled through better utilisation of new technologies.
Poor financial planning: There is lack in financial planning which is evident from
their current asset ratio and liquid asset ratio which suggests that firm needs better
utilisation of their cash (Nestle, 2019).
