INTRODUCTION
Studying either at an undergraduate or post graduate level of qualification, it allows for
becoming an expert in the subject concerned. Not matter what subject matter one has chosen,
they would definitely find that they have developed a bundle of transferrable skills such as time
management, persuasion, decision making and problem solving to overcome the obstacles. Such
transferrable skills are helpful for both the candidates and employer in carrying out multiple
tasks associated with the job roles (Di Gregorio and et.al., 2019). These skills are not belong to
any specific job or position instead regarded as a general but important skills that can be
transferred to others easily. Employers always wishes employ those candidates who are
possessing such transferrable skills as these are of great importance and also helpful in meeting
multiple requirements at workplace. So, it is always recommended to give extra focus on
transferrable skills throughout the document of job application and CVs. In the present report,
the discussion pertaining to such transferrable skills will be done that one has learnt during their
university education and also employer demanding it at workplace. Also, recommendations will
be done on how students can improve their CV content to attract more employment
opportunities.

Communication skills: One of the most important skill that is needed both at university and
workplace to be successful is communication skill. At university it is needed to various
presentations related to different subject matter, as it has become a part of curriculum of
university education (Kenayathulla, Ahmad and Idris, 2019). For asking questions and
explaining or presenting during various events or oral examination, it is necessary to have an
excellent communication skills which is helpful getting success at university level.
Having good communication skills is considered even as the most basic skills needed while
getting employed at any position in the organisation. It allows for communicating in a clear and
concise manner with customers and colleagues while presenting information during the course
of the business. So, for this communicating in a logical, effective and organised manner is
necessary.
