Relationship of marketing function with other functional areas of organization
Marketing have a very important role to play in survival and growth of an organisation. This is why it has very important and crucial relationship
with all other functional areas of organisation. Relationship of marketing department with other functional department can be stated in a following
ways.
Marketing and Sales
Sales and marketing both department are very much inter connected
with each other. Marketing play the huge role in the sales of Air
Canada. Marketing create a huge customer base for company’s
services with its marketing campaign and various advertisements.
Effective marketing campaign make the company's product more
trendy. Aviation is very competitive market and all company's give
tough competition to each other with its effective services and
affordability and most of the time services are similar to each other. In
such a market marketing plays the huge role in the sales of Air Canada
services. Marketing department also convey all the policies of sales
department to enhance the customer base with an attractive
advertisements. Marketing is the key to improve the potential
customer base of the company. All the marketing strategies are hugely
based on improving the sales of the Air Canada only with its
operations.
Marketing and HR
Marketing play the huge role in the campaigning of HR department. HR
department always require effective marketing strategies to advertise
about company's recruitment processes. Aviation is a very trendy career
option in today's competitive environment and effective marketing of
the sector plays the huge role in the popularity of the sector. This
popularity resulted into effective and efficient work force. HR
department play the crucial role in company's growth and development
by providing effective and efficient work force to the company and HR
department always seek good marketing strategies to get effective
candidates during the interviews.
Marketing and Finance
Marketing department play the crucial role in the functioning of
finance department. Marketing is largely based on research and
development with the help of statistical data and related aspects. Such
data marketing department collect and utilise is largely based on the
market situations. Finance department always require productive data
to utilise in the favour of the business. Marketing department provide
all the essential information to the finance department to run all its
operation in the most productive way possible. Finance department
also play the crucial role in the operations of the marketing
department by funding the capital to all the campaigns of marketing
department. So in the Air Canada marketing and finance both
departments are interconnected with each other to operate all the
operations.
Production department
Production department have most important relationship with marketing
function. Presently production department works on producing products
that are needed to customers and this information is availed to them by
marketing department. Marketing department ensures that products are
produced as per customer requirements and have required quality and
quantity as they are more aware of the customers' requirements.
Marketing and Operation Department
Operations department work in Air Canada on the basis of the estimated
sales by the marketing department. Operation department carry the
operations related to the customer services. Aviation is much diversified
sector that provides services related to travelling, food and other related
aspects. All these services are totally based on the sales and its related
estimations. Marketing department not just provide estimations relates
to the sale but also it contribute in achieving such sales estimates.
Operation departs also use marketing campaigns to convey about all the
activities of operations department to the potential customer's. Operation
department also include customer services and it use marketing
campaigns to convey all the customer services related to the customer
care. Marketing become essential in every aspect of the operational
activities and it provide ease to operations department with plenty of
marketing related operations.
