Respected Madame,
I would like to express my heartfelt regret upon the incident that has happened between us
Bell Com and that of yours, NT. I hope that such misunderstanding would not affect our
business communication. Through the letter I would like to seek the opportunity to address
the issues that might have led to this miscommunication. Please provide me a patience ear.
Madame, being a resident of US, both Nestor and me have spent a considerable amount of
time in this country and thus have been unaware of the language that are being used in
different countries of the world. French is one of such language. In my opinion what has
happened in the due course of the incident during the lunch is an issue of cultural differences,
language barrier as well as ethics (Korzilius, Joost and Sophie). However, the factor of ethics
played a pivotal role in this misunderstanding. Nestor had been indecorous in his attributes
and took upon the opportunities of cultural differences and language barrier to utilize the
same (Ferraro, Gary and Elizabeth K.).
It should have occurred to him that because of the globalized business scenario people are
making increased effort to build their competence to the languages. As such, the global
culture is developing to which most of the globalized multinationals are competent. Ethics
and professionalism are the keys in any business scenario and business etiquettes should be
maintained with utmost priority in order to establish a sound relationship from the beginning.
The attributes of the business representative should have been the most important for
developing a perception about the company they are going to form alliance with (Wang, Liz
and Lisa). The attributes of Nestor had been indecorous in his dealing with the delegates as
well as his actions during the lunch. His wordings lacked a professional touch which was the
utmost necessary of the hour.
