The material management refers to the process through which the organization
acquires goods as well as services that is essential for the organization to achieve its desired
goals. As such, the implication of the material management in noted in the areas related to the
planning that is required to acquire the desired material in the accurate quantity.
The positive impact of the material management has been noted in the optimization of
the time management, the saving of the cost, maximization of the productivity and the
minimization of the waste that is generated (Jusoh & Kasim, 2017).
The impact of the material management in terms of the productivity that it ensures can
be noted in the efficiency that is achieved in the movement of the material within a reduced
time. The management of the location of the store, which is another area of concern of the
material management also enhances the productivity of the laborers involved in the
transportation. The easy availability of the resources as well as time has been seen to impact
the productivity of the employees by motivating them in a positive manner (Thomas, Sanvido
& Sanders, 1989).
