Dear Mr. Adam,
Good afternoon! As a counsellor of your reputable health organization, it develops my duty
to acquaint the authority with the health status of the patients. Strength of patients is
experiencing fast recovery but the result is contrary for some patients. After communicating
with these patients, it is acknowledged that that they lack to purchase the required medicines
and other related essentials. These patients are suffering from financial instability and it is
laying direct impact on their recovery process.
It develops the responsibility of the health institute to offer a beneficial medical assistance to
the patients. The organization should regularly conduct a medication assistance program
named ‘Patient Assistance Program’. The health institution will offer medical supply to
financially needy patients (Zafar & Peppercorn, 2017). These patients have to submit their
income statements to avail the benefit from Mayo General Hospital. The patients having their
annual income below the set criteria will be able to seek the opportunity of medical
assistance.
It will offer multiple benefits to the organization. Firstly, it is not involve the personal
financial earnings of the health institution. Our health institution will seek financial support
or grant from the major trust funds and legal bodies of the USA. Thus, it will not impact the
financial stability and profit of the institution. Additionally, it will aid in fulfilling its
corporate social responsibility towards the society. Secondly, it helps in gaining positive
word of mouth and improving the organization reputation in the society. It also assists in
improving the health status of our patients and attracting new clients for solving their health
issues (Coulter, 2012).

MAYO GENERAL HOSPITAL
It will be highly suitable if the program will be headed by one of our loyal and highly skilled
registered nurse of the Mayo Health Centre. According to my perspective, it is assessed that
Caroline D’Souza (registered nurse) attains essential skills to effectively lead the group. She
is an inspiring, leading nurse with fine communication skills. Additionally, she has a friendly
and a strong personality and it will aid in understanding the patients concerns. Her friendly
nature will assist in offering quality assistance and maintaining fine interpersonal relation
with the patients.
The information concerning the problem should be shared to personal e-mail as digital media
is highly used by the present era. The program should be conducted within the health centre
to eradicate the additional cost. The health centre’s personnel should be involved to
participate in this program. It should be conducted on the weekend to attract a number of
patients. The patients have to bring their last medication form to attend the program.
Additionally, it is recommended that the program should involve speech on ‘rising health
issues’ to raise patient’s awareness in this area. Thus, I expect that the authority will consider
my suggestion and opts for the same for the improving health status and organization’s
goodwill and recognition. Hope to receive a positive reply.
Best Regards,
Elena Gilbert
(Counsellor)
