MBA PERSONAL STATEMENT2 PERSONAL STATEMENT: MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION I decided to pursue a postgraduate degree in Business Administration not only because it is a career path but also because it is something that I yearn for (Hesselbarth, & Schategger, 2014). Pursuing the degree will enable me to develop required managerial so as to compete favorably during the search for employment, be better placed in terms of being promoted at work, be able to receive a higher salary in line with my education level and also be in a better position to start my own company. These happens to be the main reasons why I decided to pursue this course at the university. Being in possession of an MBA degree will highly elevate my education status since it is one of the most prestigious degrees a person can have (Baruch, & Lavi-Steiner, 2015). Also, chances of being employed by whichever company of my choice are greatly increased. My previous area of study is Human Resource Management where I was honored with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management on 27thMarch 2018 by Open University Malaysia (OUM). While studying this course, I happened to have a soft spot for some units including Leadership and Governance, Principles and Practice of Management, Total Quality Management, Human Resource Information Systems among others. They happen to be the core units that gave me the insight to even pursue a postgraduate degree in Business Administration.
