Introduction
Introduction
‘Domestic violence’ is a term, which is used to describe any pattern of occurrence of
incidents or any type of event where a threatening or controlling behaviour, abused or violence.1
These incidents of such violence may be emotional, physical, as well as sexual and financial.
Such physical violence may include throwing objects and assault to the women, and young
people of a family and such emotional violence also includes controlling behaviour and some
verbal threats. Nowadays, such domestic violence or abuse has been happening through mobile
phones, internets, or on several social network sites. Such young people and children are
addicted to such mobile phones, which may be a cause of such violence.2 They may not be able
to use those electronics like any adult; therefore, the perpetrators may take such negative side as
their weapon of such domestic violence. It can be said that this domestic violence or abuse is not
only happening in the home but also happens in social sites.
Background
One of the British politicians, Jack Ashley, has used the term ‘domestic violence’ for the
first time in such a modern context. He has introduced such domestic violence as a meaning of
the violence at home in the Parliament of the UK in the year 1973.3 It has come out that such
