The outcome of this syllabus will be that students of stage 2 will have
knowledge and understanding of efficient mental and written strategies and
their fluency to solve problems will be increase. Through this syllabus
students will be able to use technology for investigating mathematical
concept as well as check their solutions also. This syllabus will be useful in
increase count, order, record number up to five digits. Outcome this syllabus
is effective in increase capability of stage 2 students in estimating, measuring,
comparing, converting of length, volume, capacity, area and mass with the
use of formal units. This syllabus is developed in order to support student for
getting better understanding about different concept of mathematics and
enhance their interest in this topic. Information gathered in this stage will
helps student in gaining better understanding of next stage topics.

There are different types of sources that will be required by teacher in order to take assessment of students. The variety of sources that can be helpful in
classroom test, written examination, blackboard, projector and so on. All of these resources will be effective in identifying and analysing the overall learning
and progress of learner. It is important for teacher to collect information about student learning. Specific information that is needs by teacher of student stage
2 are –
1) How to determine if student has met lesson objective?
In order to determine if student has meet with the lesson learning objective or not teacher will take test of students. In this test teacher will ask

information and understanding about different terminology which is taught in classroom. In this test teacher can collect information about learner of
student by analyse their knowledge about different formulas of mathematics that is used to measure and record about area. Teacher should observe
students in class as this will help in determine whether student in paying attention is learning or not. If student is not about to understand the concept
or it is difficult for learner to meet with the set objective of lesson then teacher needs to pay special attention to that student and make sure they are
understanding each and every concept very clearly. Communication with student and feedbacks is also an effective way in order to determine if
student meet with the lesson objective or not.
2) Collection of evidence to be able to report progress?
Written test of students is one of the effective way of collecting evidence for developing progress report. In this report complete information about
the understanding of student and their capability will be mention. It is essential for a teacher to develop progress report so that parents or guidance of
student will be able to identify the learning progress of student as well as determine their capabilities. For student of stage 2, teacher can consider
written examination or test for analysing progress. This written test will be done after completion of the lesson and this test will includes question
regarding what is taught in lesson. On the basis of this test marks will be given to individual students on the basis of their correct answers. Marks
obtain by student with correct answer will be recorded and kept as evidence for progress report.
3) Plan for further experience and support?
After written test and development of progress report capability and potential of students will be analysed not the basis of their correct answers.
Students who have successfully clear the written test and obtain passing marks will be transfer for next learning lesson. All those students who are not
able to successfully complete the lesson and achieve objective. Teacher will support and help them in increasing their information or understanding
about the topic. In this teacher needs to identify and analyse the reason of less marks and help student by clearing their doubts and issues. Once
teacher has provided appropriate information and resolve their issues. These students will be given one more chance to clear the written test again and
obtain desired results.
