This research paper examines the media representation of Aboriginal people in ABC News Online in Australia's post-apology era from 2008 to 2018. It explores the role of racial hegemony and the structural impacts of discursive political media coverage on Aboriginal people. The study aims to address the extent of Aboriginal issues addressed in the media, changes in the framing of Aboriginal people as criminals over time, and the impact of media coverage on Aboriginal participation in the mainstream economy.
