Medicine Management
Introduction
Medicine management refers to an evidence based approach in order to
prescribe that balances the safety, tolerability, effectiveness, cost and
simplicity of treatments. It includes the criterion of proper administration
& supply of medicines by checking, dispensing, controlling and storage
of medication in appropriate manner. It is based on Central & Northwest
London NHS foundation trust including its policies and procedures.

The administration of medicine can be described as specific route of providing
medication to patient as per their actual medical condition of severity of
particular health problems. 5 R’s of medication administration includes
five rights of patient to gain medicines such as right drug to right patient in
right dose by right route at time. When this criterion get fails then other
three rights are also considered including right reason, right drug
formulation and right line attachment.
