determining new aspects among Ola where attitude , and responses, will be recorded and
further integrated specific efficacy will be improvised for attaining optimum growth
dynamically. By using behavioural theory for intervention, attitudes and responses will
be accurately checked as Ola is going through Down syndrome.
This further heads on stringent rise towards functional growth productively,
where there are various scope which will be evolved for attaining proper results among
treatment. Intervention of behavioural theory will further enhance new strengthened

Ola with down syndrome, will be specifically also taking care to further improvise his reaction
abilities significantly and attend towards his daily activities. By using behavioural theory of
healthcare, Ola reactions will be specifically taken car and further new therapies will be done for
improvising his working condition within healthcare.
Speech language therapy: It is one of the best and effective therapies that is being used
in dealing patients with Down syndrome. The main aim of making use of this therapy is
to strengthen oral muscles of Ola as he finds difficulties in talking with other. He is 30
years old still he needs to improve his oral skill (Stephan and et.al., 2021). It is believed
that this skill can improve his confidence and by improving this skill, he can be made
able to engage in social and other activities. This skill can improve ability of hearing
because people with Down syndrome face hearing loss problems and they have to rely on
others for performing their activities.
Physical therapy: After improving his oral skills by which he can communicate, I will
make use of physical therapy. The main aim of this therapy is to improve Ola’s
movement. Since 30 years, his parents are taking care of him and it has made him
completely dependent. It is important for Ola to become independent and live far away
from home where there are more independent facilities (Akhtar and Bokhari, 2021). By
making use of this therapy, he will be improved physically by which he can perform his
own basic works and do not rely on others. It will make him feel valued and improve his
confidence.
Implementation:After selecting and knowing effectiveness of therapies for improving
health of people with Down syndrome, it is important to implement them. There are some
ways by which all therapies can be implemented and health of Ola’s can be improved.

implementing this therapy, Ola will be engaged in some group discussion with same
category of people (Capone and et.al., 2018). It is believed that by engaging in group
discussion, we are more likely to share our own feelings and it improves our
communication skill. By engaging Ola in communicational activities, his oral,
communicational skills can be improved. It will improve his confidence and will make
him able to talk with anyone. Other main therapy that has been selected for improving
health of Ola and making him independent is physical therapy. For implementing this
therapy, he will be brought out in gardens and places where he can walk independently.
He will be encouraged to do physical exercise such as: swimming, walking, boxing,
cycling and dancing. It will make him physically fit and it will help me out in knowing all
those activities in which he is interested (Shanahan and et.al., 2019). Gardening and other
light aerobic activities are some other ways of implementing physical therapy and making
Ola able to be physically independent.
Evaluation: It is the last stage of care plan. It is important for healthcare professionals to
measure effectiveness of performance of patients. Evaluation and measurement helps in
knowing effectiveness of interventions that have been used for improving health of
patients. In regard to Ola, 30 year old patient with Down syndrome, it can be said that he
is completely independent and for making him dependent, some therapies have been
implemented. For knowing effectiveness of interventions, I communicated him after
implementing interventions and observed changes in his speech and physical skills.
Before implementation, I recorded his speech and physical skills and then compared
these both skills after making use of group discussion, gardening, aerobic and other
therapies. I found Ola confident while talking and on this basis, it can be said that speech
language therapy was effective in the case of Ola.
I engaged Ola’s parents in communication process and took feedback from them in
order to know improvement in Ola’s physical skills. On the basis of feedback and
communication with Ola’s parents, it is known that Ola performs his basic activities by his
own. He does not take help of his parents for performing day to day activities. It is also found
that he takes interest in going outside and engaging in social activities. Overall, it can be said
that implemented therapies was effective and it improved health of Ola.

Reflection for evaluating role in implementing care to meet Ola’s needs
On the basis of above care plan, I want to share my experience that I had while dealing
with Ola, who has Down syndrome and find difficulties in enjoying his life as like other people.
This care plan helped me out to the great extent as it increased my knowledge and skills
regarding Down syndrome problem and ways to treat with people who have this problem. With
the help of Gibbs reflective model, I can share my experience such as:
Description: I want to discuss my feelings of experience regarding Ola who has Down
syndrome. When I firstly met him then I became nervous because I never dealt with patients of
this age. My communication and team working skill helped me out in treating Ola. My superiors
helped me out in understanding this situation and ways in which we need to treat with such
people (Constantinou and et.al., 2020). My ability of working in a team, made me able in
providing better care to Ola. I came to know that people with Down syndrome suffer number of
problems such as: infection, vision problem, hearing problem, heart condition and others. I also
came to know that people with this problem feel frustrated and it lowers their confidence. They
are less likely to engage in social activity.
Feeling: when I interacted with Ola then I realised that he was not able to talk as like
normal people. My main aim of providing care to Ola was to make him independent as his
parents are struggling hard for supporting their son. Also, I wanted to make him feel valued and
motivated by which he can engage himself in social and other activities. With self evaluation, I
found that I am good in problem solving and decision making skill so, I took decision of making
his parents educate regarding having nutritional values of food and doing physical exercise. It
helped them out in improving Ola’s health.
Evaluation: I want to share some problems that I faced while providing care to Ola. As I
wanted to make Ola a move from home into independent living arrangements (Caley and et.al.,
2017). After some days, Ola became frustrated and due to his anger issue, it became difficult to
handle him. At that time I felt that it is not possible for me to make him independent but
communication and patience helped me out in making him feel normal and relaxed. I started to
take him out in gardens and engaged him in all activities in which he was interested.
Action plan: As I found that I was lacking in time management and other skill where I
need to become independent. So, for this, I will develop personal action plan by identifying all
activities and resources that can help me out in developing career growth. I found that

procrastination and lower confidence are main root cause of every problem that we face so, I will
focus on this for providing better care to people with Down syndrome (Anderson, 2019).
Conclusion: It can be concluded that dealing and providing care to people with Down
syndrome of 25-50 age is difficult but team working and communication skills make able to
social workers in improving health.
CONCLUSION
It has been summarised from the above study that people with Down syndrome face number
of problems. People with this problem are more likely to get affected from infection, they suffer
from heart disease, vision problem and others and all these problems make them dependent on
others. A successful care plan is the one that consists of all those therapies and theories that is
associated and related with patients’ need and problem. It has discussed effectiveness of
behavioural therapy as it helps social and healthcare professionals in identifying behavioural
factors that affect problem of patients. By identifying main cause of problem, it becomes easier
in providing better treatment and accomplishing goals of care plan. Speech language therapies
also play a vital role as it improves communication and language skills and make patients
