MEMORY 2
The aspect of memory that I target in this case is the ability to remember. Learning
involves taking part in various activities that enhance skills. For example, there is classwork,
fieldwork, and tutorials that student watch to understand multiple aspects. However, for the
professors in various subject to ascertain that students have grasped the concept, they test it
through examination. It is the responsibility of a student to remember what he or she learned to
apply the ideas and pass the exams. Those students that have short-term memory may be
disadvantaged because they cannot recall many things according to Lazar, (2017). Therefore, the
aspect of memory for recalling is essential for one to pass the examination.
Various strategies can assist an individual in improving the capability to remember. The
first step is to use mnemonics to train memory. Mnemonics are easy to recall during the
examination time. The rationale behind using mnemonics is to make use of the first letters of
words to come up with an acronym. For example, if the students were learning about plug and
play. The best mnemonic to use is PnP. The second principle is to play brain games available
online to improve the ability to remember according to Newman, (2017). The games challenge
the brain to recall faster and always be active. The last thing is to get enough rest for the brain.
The outcome of applying the above techniques is that they minimize the time memory
takes to recall a given idea. The brain becomes active most of the time because the individual has
trained it. The next positive result is that one would be able to pass an example with high grades
as compared to previous time. However, there are negative results. One of them is that it will
make an individual some time to ensure that the memory is used to the situation. For instance, if
one decides to use the strategy of brain games, the person will have to play the games every day
to ensure the brain is active.
